Great beginning and climax, ending left me confused

This novel had great promise, and it was an enjoyable read until it started nearing the end and I became very confused. I’m going to google just what the heck happened at the end!

Great story!

This book is so good, and the reader does an excellent job! The story keeps you guessing from one moment to the next, 💯 recommend!

Shallow Ocean

I don't mind the shallow takes on some of the topics covered. in fact often times it allows the author to visit many different themes and topics which helps paints the worried mind of the main character.

I really love what they've done here despite. the world is truly unique and fun.

Beautiful! The narrator is really good! I highly recommend the audio version of this book. It added a layer that made the story more magical.!

Overall Enjoyed it

Surprising story, clever twists; great imagination by the writer. The reader did a great job creating all the characters and kept them clear with her change in voice. Highly enjoyed this book and highly recommended.

Very intriguing

I had read Divine Rivals and and Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross and I really loved them so I wanted to give another of her books a read and I was not disappointed. The plot was interesting and I really liked the characters. At times the narrator was hard to distinguish between characters but the writing easy let that slide.

Nothing but the best from this author

I was advised on an Instagram page to read Rebecca Ross’ latest book The Enchanted River. I thought we’ll okay and listened to the Audible book. It was awesome. But the sequel is not available yet so I grabbed this book. I quickly latched on to this story as well. The books are not so short that they leave you wanting, but keep you hooked throughout. There is always some sleuthing and adventure and of course the fantasy world she so eloquently writes about. I love these first two I have read and after the review I plant to go back to her first books. If you do not purchase at least one of her books you won’t know what you’re missing. But once you read one, you will be hooked guaranteed. These are great books for adults as well as the young adult category. They are not overly predictable, and her descriptive writing technique far surpasses many authors. Excellent story.

I loved it, but I wanted more...

I loved how this world was built. The world was intriguing and complex, and allowed for a story that leaves one guessing.
I wanted more from this world, though, and I couldn't help but feel like the ending was a little too fast? Still, this was my first book by this author and it definitely made me a fan. I absolutely love finding a book that not only had a great story and well-developed characters, but is also beautifully written.

I love Rebecca Ross!

I always enjoy Rebecca Ross books and this one was no exception. She's just such a creative storyteller.
