Grumpy/Sunshine Romance!

This is the second book in the Manhattan Bossholes series. Aiden and Cora’s second-chance romance is fun, sweet, passionate, and thoroughly entertaining. Aiden is handsome — equal parts frustrating and swoon-worthy — while Cora is independent and determined. I loved the banter and the grumpy/sunshine dynamic. P.J. Morgan and Denver Adams did a great job bringing the story and characters to life. I really enjoyed it and look forward to more in the series!. Deliciously Good

Leslie North's "On the Rocks" plunges listeners into a deliciously volatile mix of past hurts and undeniable chemistry, brought to life by the compelling narration of P. J. Morgan and Denver Adams. From the outset, we meet Cora, a passionate cocktail crafter whose world is thrown into delightful disarray when she enters a contest only to encounter her "maddeningly hot, mega-successful ex," Aiden Calihan. Morgan expertly channels the heroine's simmering resentment and fierce independence, making her every internal groan and sarcastic retort feel palpable. You can practically taste the "Dirty Shirley" she longs to splash in his face.


Aiden, voiced by Adams, embodies the brooding billionaire with an infuriatingly perfect demeanor. Adams navigates Aiden's initial obliviousness and subsequent calculated charm with a nuanced performance, perfectly conveying the man who "wrecked me worse than a tequila hangover." The initial tension is amplified by his infuriating lack of recognition and the audacity of expecting her to promote his liquor. This sets the stage for a delightful push-and-pull dynamic that is the hallmark of a classic enemies-to-lovers narrative.

The plot thickens when Aiden offers a tempting, yet sanity-threatening, opportunity. The internal battle between financial gain and emotional self-preservation is brilliantly articulated by Morgan, while Adams's portrayal of Aiden's persistent presence in her dreams adds to the growing romantic tension. Despite the familiar tropes, the narrators' strong performances elevate the material, transforming the "hazard to my sanity" into a thoroughly engaging listen. "On the Rocks" is a spirited concoction of romance, rivalry, and redemption, perfectly served by its vocal talents.

Loved it!

This story was an enjoyable and entertaining story. I thought that the job the FMC had was such a cool job. Being able to come up with mix drinks and make social media content was fascinating. The romance was exquisite. Especially, because you’re able to feel the emotions of both characters. It’s a second chance romance, billionaires romance, a bit of bickering and resentment, a good amount of spice and so much more. I definitely recommend it. The audiobook was well made. P.J. Morgan and Denver Adam’s did an amazing job narrating this story.
