the cover put me off, but boy am i happy i went a bought this book. its in the same teir as noobtown series.

Trust the reviews. Absolutely wonderful.

This is a feel good book that keeps giving. Not a lot of blood and guts and yet wonderful life adventures through and through. a Rollercoaster through life.

Nice Character growth and relatable characters.

A fun listen, but shallow

First I want to say that I really enjoyed this book, and I think you should read it if your interested in the books description; but you need to know what this book is. It's a LitRPG about how a farmer that tries his best to level up by abusing the magic system so he doesn't have to farm. Its amusing and (once or twice) a little thought provoking. But that's ALL it is. Anything not immediately relating to that is usually not focused on to any high degree. The characters are fun, but ultimately don't go anywhere, there aren't really any grand themes to think on, its just a farmer, on his farm, trying his best not to farm.

Another fantastic read by Travis Baldree! I loved this one from start to finish. Unique and funny take on litrpg, can't wait to see more from this author.

Honestly, I could barely stop listening, stayed up until 2 in the morning and still had 2 hours to go and hated needing to sleep. Very interesting concept, well written, and Travis Baldree did a great job voicing all the parts and presenting all the emotions and nuances. Looking forward to book two.

MC is hard to like

I found myself kinda wishing the MC would fail at times as he comes off as a selfish crybaby. Narration was excellent.

started slow but worth the listen

The story has a real slow start. but if you stick with it the world mechanics and Arnold's problems are worth thenlisten

Fun all the way.

look this isn't a serious novel of a generation kinda thing, and wasn't intended to be. this also isn't a going to be an all time genera changing series like LOTR.

what this is, is fun. its as smart as it needs to be to stay fun and accessible. what sets this apart from so many other books that try to be fun is that the characters all feel real, and there are no blindingly obvious dumb shit inserted to make the plot move along. it all feels appropriate and proper.

good character development, and no stupid stuff. mix that with a fun premises and you have a fun story.

my only regret is that book 2 isn't out yet, and i got through this in 2 days, so now I have to go find another book to listen to.

I was skeptical at first but this was a fun story.

Simple and not overly crunchy.
Narrator gave me cottonmouth but was excellent.
a narrative I didnt expect to like but was done well.
