Publisher's Summary

Renner Caldwell has her life perfectly mapped out. She has the ideal relationship, the perfect job, and all is right in her world. When a shameful turn of events happens, she boards the first plane bound for Ireland to lick her wounds and get her head back on straight.

Cillian O'Braidagh is the sexy front man to the Irish rock band, Over The Edge. His rising fame and sultry voice make him every woman's fantasy come true. Not to mention his single-minded determination. To put it simply: what Cillian wants, Cillian always gets. And he wants Renner, because there's just something about the flame-haired beauty he has to possess.

If their relationship was just about sex and rock n' roll, it would be easy for them to get lost in their desires. Only their relationship is anything but a hook-up. Will lies, deceit, and hidden tragedy get in the way, making the path to true love uncertain? Or will the girl whose been knocked off course find her footing with the man who is teaching her it's okay to lose control?

Note from Sawyer Bennett: This book is part of the Off Series but it can be heard as a standalone book. Nothing in the prior or subsequent books will diminish your understanding of this novel. This is a New Adult, Contemporary Romance.

When You See Crazy Coming, Cross the Damn Street

This was an enticing romance that kept me listening and interested to the end. Who knew that a tattooed up, facial pierced Irish rock star could be so sexy, and dense. Cillian seemed to know everything about what Renner wanted and was completely clueless about his bandmate/former girlfriend. But he was awfully cute anyway. I love that even with everything Renner had to be insecure about, she didn't let that make her a jealous shrew. Love the chemistry between Cillian and Renner. The story fell in line with the others in the series.

The narration was good and the Irish accents, especially by Matthew Holland were easy to listen to and understand. Charlotte does a good job with the female voices and a passable Irish accent. I would listen to them narrate other books.

Definitely worth the credit. This is the the third book that I've read in the series and I am still looking forward to completing the series. Good job Sawyer Bennett.

That first trip to Ireland would map her life. . .

Renner Caldwell loved her graduation gift of a trip to Ireland and family. She enjoyed it even more when she meets Cillian O’Bradaigh. The sexy, young, Irish rocker was every young girls dream. He kissed her like there was nothing else in the world. Then he just as easily walked away from her and picked up with another. This turns Renner in to a more logically thinking young woman. Years later she returns to Ireland and the path of Cillian.

There was depth to Cillian. He was a man that had a whole story behind him and maybe guiding him. The direction of this guidance may turn out to be hazardous to his future. This was well written and gave some intriguing characters both secondary and main.

Narrator Charlotte and Matthew brings the whole cast to life. Giving them depth and perception. The accent of the Irish land was just beautiful. The cadence and pitch well worth the listen. The audio was smooth and clear.

Good story but...

They really should have had an Irishman read for Cillian, George Allen would have been perfect.

Angst-filled romance

Pretty basic romance. Lots of talking and soap opera melodrama.

The male narrator's male voice is super-sexy, but his female voice is off - it takes you out of the story.

A few hot sexy times. Mostly vanilla.

Another great addition to this series.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It was done really well and the story is really great.

Have you listened to any of Charlotee North and Matthew Holland ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. They do a really good job as far as narrators go. And I'm picky.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Wanted to? I did listen to it in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

Another smash hit for the off sides series.

Great listen

I really enjoyed this book. A few of the annunciations made my skin crawl, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. I cried, I got angry, and I laughed. This book sucks you in and a few times I found myself responding the same thing as the characters at a climactic point. It's easy to get pulled into Sawyer's books. I felt like I needed to kick someone's rear on numerous occasions, and high five on others... definitely worth the listen.

I actually loved it

Any additional comments?

So many of those in this series get bad reviews so after the first one I was not going to rent any more in this series but decided to try this one. Surprising I really liked it a lot and I consider myself picky. Loved Cillian's Irish accent - so adorable.

Borders a Young Adult novel minus the hanky panky

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Probably not. The main characters were so over the top that you had to roll your eyes at how flowery and sugar coated they sounded... kinda ridiculous.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Well, for one... the two main characters had their relationship built on NOTHING but sex and physical attraction. It was so shallow. Just dumb, really.

Have you listened to any of Charlotee North and Matthew Holland ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I had not, but they were good, just wish the story was better.

Did Off Course inspire you to do anything?

Turn it off.

3.5 Stars

Not my favourite book in the series, however it was still enjoyable and of course beautifully written. I had trouble connecting with Renner and Cillian and I found I wasn't as invested in their story. I got a little wound up with how Cillian handled Maeve.
All that said the chemistry when they got together was palpable and I loved Cillian's take charge attitude and the fact that unless it was in the bedroom, Renner didn't bend to his demands. Looking forward to reading Flynn's story.
