Publisher's Summary

Listeners of Princess were gripped by Jean Sasson's powerful indictment of women's lives behind the veil. Now, in the compelling sequel, Jean Sasson and Princess Sultana turn the spotlight on Sultana's two teenage daughters, Maha and Amani.

As second-generation members of the royal family who have benefited from Saudi oil wealth, Maha and Amani are surrounded by untold opulence and luxury from the day they were born. And yet, they are stifled by the unbearably restrictive lifestyle imposed on them, driving them to desperate measures.

Throughout, Sultana and Sasson never tire of their quest to expose the injustices which society levels against women. Princess Sultana once more strikes a chord among all women who are lucky enough to have the freedom to speak out for themselves.

Eye opening

very good read! I learn a lot about the culture and women's rights. I will probably read the next book.

Fascinating look into another world!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because I believe that they would find of interest too and bee as justifiably outraged as I was to read about various instances and practices carried out in the country as I was!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Princess Sultana's Daughters?

The courage of these women is beyond. compare and specially Princess Sultana herself, it's a very good book in general.

Have you listened to any of Catherine Byers’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Listened to Many more tears to cry just beforehand and compares well.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Very much so!!, An emotional rollercoaster actually!!

Any additional comments?

Fascinating, had read the original in book form some years ago and was interesting to catch up with what's happening in their world.
