PERFECTION

The entire thing had me so hooked! I couldn’t stop listening! It just kept getting better! The ending ending was so funny too. 100% recommend reading

God this book was incredible, the audio version really made the visuals come to life !
The narrators really understood the assignment, this book was just everything I’ve wanted to read and I cannot wait to listen to it again!

Perfect narration, very suspenseful alluring story with a pinch of horror

I just started listening to audiobooks, and quickly found out how important good narrators are. I was hesitant with the price point in this one, but it sure did not disappoint. The narrators did an amazing job bringing the story and characters to life, I was amazed and engaged through the whole book. Loved the chemistry between the two leads with a story full of suspense with a pinch of horror vibes. I would not hesitate to purchase again, I loved the male lead and had the perfect voice over to fit his character.

Worth every minute!

I love Keri Lake’s writing! Every book that I read (or listened to) was a hit! Her stories are beautifully written and detailed, shrouded in mystery and suspense, characters are complex, and the chemistry and anticipation (between MC) is top tier! This book is now my favourite!
Now this duet style performance by Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock is so well executed and hot (like you can’t imagine!) Worth every minute!

The character development was incredible!

I loved every minute of the story, the spice was such a slow perfect burn, not over the top. The performers were incredible. I do often feel like the performance can quickly ruin the whole book. These two were amazing and made the book truly come to life. Keri Lake, I just filled my wish list with all of your other books. You have a true talent for dark gothic romance and I’m hooked.

Loved it

Ok so I already read the physical copy and love it. Couldn’t wait to experience it again. Finished in a 30 hour span of time. Super fun story. Love the gothic / dark academia vibe. This was my first Keri lake book. I will definitely be reading more from her.

I loved the chemistry between the main characters.

I loved the book. I did have to go back and re listen to certain parts to make sure I was getting all the information right. It’s a perfect amount of dark mystery and smut put together.

I practically inhaled this book. Straight up devoured!
1) It was a Duet read and not a Dual. absolutely LOVE THAT!!!
2) The narrators did a really great job of portraying the MC and differentiating all the other characters.
3) the story was EXACTLY what I was looking for for a Spooky Season read. Dark, gothic, a bit twisted. . . and the spice was perfect. I really worried about a book with spice for my Spooky Season reads. worried that the cheese factor would be high and the romance/spice would feel misplaced or forced but that wasn't the case at all. The book was very well spaced, timing on point and nothing in the story felled forced at all. Over all, I absolutely loved this book and now need to buy an actual copy for a shelf trophy lol

Really interesting plot, some meh points

I know what you’re gonna say… but I’m not really into the spicey smut, I skip most of it. If that’s your jam, it’s pretty spicy and has a good slow burn. But, aside from that I actually really loved the main plot and the dark gothic science thriller aspect of it. Couldn’t put it down. Not a huge fan of the female narrator, but the guy has the perfect voice for this book.
