Publisher's Summary

The battle of survival against the invading aliens heats up...but Hell Squad never quits.

Tech genius Noah Kim works day and night to keep the survivors at Blue Mountain Base with lights, power, and hot water. He's also working on a top secret project to help keep them safe. He's tired, stressed, and under pressure - and one woman adds to it all. An annoying, infuriating redhead he calls Captain Dragon.

Captain Laura Bladon lost everything she cared for in the alien invasion: her loving family, her Navy SEAL fiancé, and her military career. Since then, she's been numb, her feelings encased in ice, and she's dedicated herself to her job as chief interrogator and running the base's prison. But one person can get under her skin in an instant - arrogant, brilliant Noah. He's the one thing that makes her feel - and that makes her very afraid.

But as Laura helps Noah on his project, the two are drawn irresistibly together. As they head into the desert with Hell Squad on a mission to a hidden alien outpost, sparks fly and a passionate desire is uncovered. Both are holding onto past hurts, scared to take the risk of loving again...but when the unthinkable happens, it changes everything...and Laura and Noah must find the power to save themselves, their friends, and their love.

Noah and Laura.

I like the world built in this story; I only wish that the stories were a bit longer. Maybe a bit more titillating back and forth before the main characters get together. Otherwise, it was a good alien romance and I look forward to more of the series. I got this book with my Kindle unlimited then purchase the audio using the Whispersync sales. Recommend reading them in order, as it follows a timeline. Narrators are great.

Still action packed

Interesting and riveting story as the saga continues. These alien raptors are no joke. Narrators continue to do a fantastic job bringing characters to life. Looking forward to listening to Shaw and Claudia’s story. Poor Claudia seems to be getting the short end of the stick. On to the next book!

Instigators!!

Can you say Instigators? Laura and Noah are an unlikely pair because they really knew how to push one another’s hot buttons!! Noah tickled me every time he called her Captain Dragon and Laura amused me when making daily demands that Noah was great at ignoring!! However, they were both hiding hearts bruised by love albeit in very different ways. Thankfully they come to their senses amid working together on a project that solidifies what’s most important, each other! Jeffrey Kafer and Samantha Cook were great narrators!

Geek rock!

Fantastically entertaining storyline. I have to say if you love sci-fi romance then this is a absolutely must listen. The author creates New adventures in each new story. Each story has a lot of twists and turns throughout with adventure, intrigue, suspense and romance. In this story the geeks rock.
The narrator’s do a fabulous job with with the characters and voices of each character which makes it easy to distinguish between the character.

Exciting installment

First, I admit that i love the geeks and Noah is a geek! Smart, attractive and funny, he gets the attention of Captain Laura Bladon although admittedly they were first a little more like enemies. But the sparks!

The background story is that the aliens have invaded earth and mass destruction led to only few survivors. These survivors banded together to overcome the aliens and I loved how they followed other characters besides the soldiers. There is continued unfurling of the question as to what the aliens want to do to humans and this story (as well as others in the series) are heart pounding. I have to admit that I usually like happy stories that don't cause me to nervously chew on my nails even though I know there will be an HEA. :)

Jeffrey Kafer and Samantha Cook are great as they have been for the other books of this series. I love that this series is in AE- I've read all the books and listening to the audiobook brings this to a new dimension.

Another Action Packed Installment

The narrators did a good job. The continuation story arc is heating up and the author did a good job balancing the H/h's storyline with the other things going on.

Noah and his dragon

Noah has a very demanding list of tasks, being the head of the tech department, with the running of the entire base as well as trying to create a way to cloak the survivors for when they need to evacuate to a safer location. He constantly butts heads with Laura Bladon, head of interrogation and prisoner security while doing so.

The struggle for these two characters to realize their animosity might be something else was greatly entertaining. A few surprises, both good and bad to keep you on your toes and Anna does it again. I love immersing myself within this world, although I'm very happy to not be dealing with the same things in real life.

Geeks can be Heroes!

Tech genius Noah Kim works day and night to keep the survivors at Blue Mountain Base going but he is no hero. He stays safe indoors while teams like Hell Squad fight the aliens. Keeping the lights on. power and water flowing are a full time job and now he has to find time to work on a top secret project to keep everyone safe. He's tired, stressed, and under cracking under the pressure - the last thing he needs is to deal with an annoying, infuriating redhead he calls Captain Dragon.

Head of the base prison and chief interrogator Captain Laura Bladon is dedicated, driven and emotionally locked down, after losing her family and Navy Seal fiance in the invasion. She doesn't need anyone and certainly not arrogant, tech geek Noah. He's the one thing that makes her feel - and that makes her very afraid. Good thing she was never attracted to nerds.

They say opposites attract but as Laura, Noah and Hell Squad head out on a mission 'Captain Dragon' will discover that Noah is not what he seems. Beneath his geek persona lives a living breathing hero with a body to die for. Sparks fly and a passionate desire is uncovered. Can two damaged people take the risk of loving again? Will they even have the chance to try, for when the unthinkable happens, Laura and Noah must sacrifice everything to save themselves and their friends even their lives.

Anna takes us on another hell of a emotional ride and this book changes everything. The future will never be the same for this band of survivors. Can't wait to find out what happens next. But first I need some sleep. Only part way through my Hell Squad binge and loving it.

Brilliant to read or listen to

Noah is a great character both intelligent, sexy and tough. His character always comes across as capable and arrogant but he gets the job done.

The narrators give the perfect combination between the male and female voice overs.

Noah's story is definitely one of the better

this plot is awesome Ms Hackett. Noah isnt a badass hell squad member but he's lean and keen, just what this series needs and I loved hearing his story.
I felt for Noah's heart and his geekiness was a charming change from the squad guys.
the only thing that's putting me off is that the narrator Jeffrey is insistent on not using his accents. perhaps he's not good at it.
Sam is terrific she can inflect Cruzs accent, devlins accent and nataliyas.
it keeps my star rating down.
all in all his military type tone is excellent.
Shaw sounds awesome and heart-rending , so love this series.

Brilliant

The sixth book in the Hell Squad series called Noah is about Tech genius Noah Kim and Captain Laura Bladon. Noah refers to her as dragon lady because she drives him insane with her demands for repairs in the prison area where she is in charge of the alien prisoners they have and their interrogation. He gets under her skin unlike anyone else and makes her feel and she doesn't want to feel preferring to stay numb after losing everything in the alien invasion. They are forced to work together on a mission and everything begins to change between them. Both are holding onto past hurts, scared to take the risk of loving again...but when the unthinkable happens, it changes everything...and Laura and Noah must find the power to save themselves, their friends, and their love. This is another story full of invading aliens, humans, laugh out loud humour and scorching hot romance a cocktail I found irresistible. I am off to the next book. I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole.
