Nora Robert's 5 book "Night Tales Series" (1990s)

This is a collection of 5 books "Night Tales Series" that are interconnected with characters. Having read all of Nora Robert's books for almost 4 decades, I was disappointed listening to these 5 books now on Audible. I didn't care for the narrator at all. I do realize that these books were written quite a while ago (30+ years). I had actually read them these years ago (before Audible) but had forgotten until I started listening to them on Audible (2019). Special Note: Nora Robert's is by far my favorite Author. In my opinion, the quality of her writing, development of characters and storylines improves each and every year. I sure hope she doesn't retire soon!

The narration was stilted and book itself reminded me of a remake of Batman. Didn't finish it. Love Nora Roberts, just not this one.

Interesting

I finished this book with no small effort. Can't say it kept me at the edge of my seat. Can you say Eve Dallas and Rourke?

Batman with Powers

Night Shadow is Nora’s version of Batman, but the hero, Gage, had a secret power after coming out of a coma. Deborah was a strong heroine who puts herself into danger to make sure the criminals are held accountable. It’s dramatic and entertaining! I had a lot of fun!

A Nora Roberts fan

Really did not like narrator!!!! She really spoiled the story with over acting. Get the book. Do yourself a favor and avoid her.
Do the authors have a choice of narrators?

Great Performance - Great "Superhero" Story

What did you love best about Night Shadow?

I'm a huge fan of the author's, and I love superhero movies, so this was a great surprise for me as I got into the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Night Shadow?

When Deborah realizes that they're both the same man she's in love with.

What does Kate Rudd bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought her performance was "spot on" and really brought the book to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

IDK. Maybe that he was as vulnerable as the people he helped.

Well Written

Nora Roberts has once again Out Done Herself this is the shortest book of hers I've listened to just a little over 7 hours But I've enjoyed it as much as the one's that were 20 or more hours long

barely made it to the end

I absolutely hate the narration in this novel. the story line was great. It is the same as the 1st book. if I could give the narrator 0 stars I would have. I would have enjoyed it more if I read it myself.

I didn't much care for the narrator , it seemed as though she was talking to loud.
