Publisher's Summary

West Golden - football star. Playboy. Dead to me.

Nothing puts the final bullet in a girl’s rep like a leaked sex tape. Especially one starring her and the cocky quarterback who’s had it out for her since day one. Yep, you guessed it. That girl is me.

At Cypress Prep, West is king, but all I see when I look at him is the wicked prick who gets off on trying to break me.

His plaything.

Go ahead. Give him a round of applause for winning that last round, but know this - hell hath no fury like a girl from the south side with a baseball bat.

Hurt me once, shame on you. Hurt me twice...over my dead body.

Never His Girl is the highly anticipated continuation of the Kings of Cypress Prep series. This is book two in a trilogy and should only be listened to after completing book one, The Golden Boys.

This saga contains strong bully themes. So, if you’re not into romances where hate turns into love (...eventually), and if you don’t like your heroes of the unapologetically alpha variety, this might not be the series for you. There is no rape or dubious consent whatsoever. However, due to adult themes and sexual situations, this one’s only for the 18+ crowd.

This series is sure to give you Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill vibes, and the angst will have you burning through the program to find out what happens next. Buy now and get lost in this series today!

Smooches,

RJ and NT

Never His Girl

I am in love with this series. The way Blue and West grow in this book was interesting and had me completely absorbed into the story. There were some major secrets revealed and I enjoyed the pacing of the book. The narrators were fantastic and brought the characters to life.

Amazing🎧📚🎧 Enthralling & Masterfully Done!

Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne continue to wow me with this second book of their “Kings of Cypress Prep” series. This book picks up where the first book “The Golden Boys” left off, be sure to read that first, or even better listen to the audiobook, it is amazing and I highly recommend it. The first book had a mind-blowing ending and in this book we watch the aftermath play out, Riley Blue holds her own against the bullies and West Golden tries to save face and dig himself out of one the biggest mistakes he has even met. It was great to see another side of him, the golden boy probably never had to grovel or repent for anything in his life, but he has finally found something worth fighting for. Riley, the girl from Southside is a fighter, she had to be just to survive and get the things she and her sister needs. She does not trust easy so can forgive West, can she ever trust him again. West has secrets, ones he can not share but he can not be full in if he does not give all. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is brilliantly plotted and there is never a dull moment. In addition to the relationship drama, there is family drama for both Riley and West, both their fathers are POS, I love the mystery behind West’s Dad, the plot is thickening and is leading to something big, the man wreaks of power and danger, he is involved in something big and something very bad. I have an inkling of what it may be but for the sake of Riley, West and his brothers I hope I am wrong. Speaking of his brothers, love the camaraderie amongst them, also love Riley and her her sister’s bond. It is great to see @QweenPandora’s commentary continues, I hope her identity is revealed in the end, I am trying to guess who it may be. Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne thank you for another awesome story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I can not wait to see what happens next, I hope it is coming out on audio soon!!

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Neill Thorne, Lessa Lamb & Sarah Puckett are fabulously talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They continue to do an outstanding job bringing these characters to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, give each a voice that is a perfect fit for their character’s persona sounding believable in that role and just as I pictured them to sound. Neill Thorne’s West is spot on, he transitioned his role as the character did, lightening up his alpha-hole alpha-tude a bit. Lessa Lamb’s Blue continues to be badass and Sara Puckett continues as the perfect QweenPandora. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance. All three are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

Please read book 1 of this series before this one. The hate turn to love stories get me going. Even with some bullying aspects I still find West Golden irresistible!! The narration was AMAZING!!!!!

Love Blue as a MC, book 2 even better than book 1

That cliffhanger after book 1 was BRUTAL (which is why I read book 2 on KU after listening to book 1 because I couldn't NOT continue and knew what happened next). Now I got to listen to book 2 and not knocking the ebook but there is something with audiobooks that if its done right make it so much better (the narrators can really bring the characters to life and elevate writing). This is how I felt about Never His Girl.

In terms of the story. I won't give anything away, but West I think does a great job at redeeming himself, with the help of his brothers and friends hahah (I loved the Dr. Phil moments 🤣). I appreciated how he went slowly with Blue, was consistent/persistent but not overbearing. Great way to honestly earn the opportunity to explain/get time to talk things through. Loved how Blue didnt let him off the hook easily either hahaha. I am intrigued by the side characters (some I know will get their own stories) also not sure how some will factor into the 3rd and final book because I am so not ready for this series to end! Great job Rachel and Nikki, loved book 2 even more than book 1 and you have officially gained a new fan ❤️

In terms of the narration, this one was even better! I felt so much emotion, sometimes making me tear up and that doesnt happen a lot for me. I felt joy and happiness with things finally took a good turn. And I felt the eyes watching that some of the characters feel haha (I don't recommend listening by yourself during a storm when its dark outside hahaha). I thought the narration was 5/5 star worthy, no constructive feedback from me!

Now be prepared for another cliffhanger/tense moment at the end. I did download book 3 right away to know what Blue and West do with the ending. Soooo good and cannot wait for book 3 on audio and the spinoff books to get audios too as they come out 😍😍😍

love this series

This story has Secrets, betrayal, lies, drama, and a leaked sex tape.
Blue is strong, vulnerable and has a mean swing.
When West finally straightens things out with Blue, BAM, a rollercoaster of a cliffy had me reeling! It is intense. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Lessa Lamb, Neill Thorne, and Sarah Puckett narration is very good.

Never His Girl

"Being with you made it even clearer that, somewhere between me trying to hate you and you trying to hate me, something changed."

Never His Girl is the second book in the Kings of Cypress Prep series. A dark, enemies to lovers, high school romance told in multiple first-person points of view.

West Golden (King Midas)... After spending a night together and kicking Blue out he feels horrible thanks to the feelings he has for her. After a video of them pops up on social media, thanks to secrets that need to stay hidden, he needs to stay quiet, which may just drive him insane.

Blue Riley (Southside, New Girl)... She can not understand why West kicked her out after their night together. When a video shows up on social media and she tops The Pink List, Blue is done with West and his games.

Story... No matter what West and Blue do there always seems to be something trying to keep them apart. Between videos, photos, and secrets it is hard to know who is telling the truth and who is lying. Just as things are starting to work themselves out, secrets threaten to destroy everything again.

My thoughts… Picking up right where The Golden Boys ended, things are getting more ugly at school. West had me feeling sorry for him with everything he was dealing with. Blue has proved more and more how strong she is and how much it takes to break her. There were some twists I did not expect and can not wait to see how this trilogy concludes.

Rating... 4.5 maple leafs.

Never His Girl

OMG! This is the second book in The Kings of Cypress Prep series. The secrets that are uncovered in this book!🔥🔥🔥 I was devastated at the end of book 1 for Blue, and furious at West. This book has me needing MORE! I need the Final book right now! I really want to know who Pandora is too. Lessa Lamb, Neill Thorne, and Sarah Puckett all did a phenomenal job narrating this book!

An Unwanted Choice

UGH this book killed me.

We start out with trying to overcome what West did to Blue at the end of Book 1. Well, not West, but ya know. Blue is trying to keep her distance and be strong but what occurred is not only impacting her, but her sister and we know she will eff anyone up who messes with her sister.

West, omg he tries, oh does he try to get Blue to understand what happened and that he is totally into her.

But, Daddy Golden is not what he seems, and he's wandering around town trying to clean up after his son. Little does he know his son doesn't need any one to do damage control.

So Blue is left with a decision, the hardest yet. What will she do? Will she keep perusing her heart's desire or will she realize that this isn't just about her and she needs to do what's best for everyone involved, because she's left with no other choice...

An amazing story with narrators that make it that much better. All narrators are spot on in their roll. Love the whole blogger/gossip writer vibe. I wonder if we will ever find out who she is?!?!

I was given an Audio ARC and decided to leave an honest review.

The plot thickens in book 2, we get some layers peeled back, some wounds opened and then a huge shocker coming in at the end, leaving you anxious for book 3.

Hot Angsty Groveling

These two authors are killing me with this series and keeping me up all night listening!😂
I LOVE Blue & West!! This book is 💯 about the grovel that Blue rightfully deserves, and I am HERE FOR IT!
There were so many 💣💣💣 going off and the 🔥🔥🔥 was so good! I’ll admit any story set in this age group my mind ages them a good 10+ years! The ending had me quickly starting Book 3, and I was thrilled with the direction taken😉
The narrators were fantastic!! Lessa is one of my favorites bringing all the characters to life! Everything she and Sarah do are gold (no pun intended)! Sarah, as the ever sassy & mysterious Pandora, is perfect!! Neill rocked it as West & the boys! I was so happy that his recordings were clear and natural-sounding in this one! It was a joy to listen to!

Needing more now please

Never His Girl by Nikki Thorne & Rachel Jonas
King of Cypress Press Book 2
Performed by Lessa Lamb and Neill Thorne and Sarah Puckett.

Wow I forgot how The Golden Boys ended and listened to part before continuing on with this jaw dropping series again. That wow 😮 ending of book 1 is exactly where this book starts off with Blue reeling from her exposure to the intimacy she shared with West being out there on tape, Who does that! West is left reeling too, because it wasn’t him to do that to Blue. But he knows who did and is keeping quiet about it.

Blue continues to show strength and conviction for making things work in this book. She sure has so much to deal with, she continues to be fiercely protective of her sister Scar and she also continues her friendship with Ricky.

Finally we get more info in this book when West comes clean with Blue as to why he’s trying to protect her yet trying to keep his secrets. Both of them are trying to make their relationship work and are fighting all the craziness around them while doing so.

So such still happening and many twists still coming up with these characters. So many secrets still hiding from where it will end up, but Blue and West are just the couple to keep me fully engaged with following their lives. There is something huge that is coming in the next book and this one really works up the angst and suspense for it, especially with that cliffhanger ending.

Lessa Lamb has the voice for Blue down to a T! She shows us her strength and perseverance as well as her ability to still trust with her whole heart. Neill Thorne was fantastic as West, and had me seeing how compassionate and caring he can be while still being one of the Golden Boys of Cypress Prep. Sarah Puckett gives us an extra personality that helped us see the possibility of other things happening with her gossip girl posts. Who helps her find out everything, she sure has eyes everywhere.

I can’t wait to see all of the secrets exposed and believe it will all be shown in the next book. Hopefully we get it soon!🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧

West and Blue…Will they make it?

This series has kept me on my toes. After what West did to Blue, I had no idea how he would redeemed himself. There is so much drama at Cypress prep, with the King between two girls, and the gossip from Pandora and the infamous Golden dad. West and Blue find their way back to each other, but the power play shifts again and this time I don’t know how Blue will make it work. West as a boyfriend is so sweet and sexy, although he is still who he is: the arrogant king of Cypress prep. There’s more on the next book and I wouldn’t want to miss it! Lovely narration by them three.
