Mr. Silver is a full-length stand-alone novel (roughly 100k words). This book can absolutely be enjoyed on its own, but for the sake of flow and clarity, it’s recommended that you start with The Golden Boys (a bully romance trilogy within this series), then move on to Pretty Boy D (a friends-to-lovers stand-alone).

Mr. Silver is the fifth book in the Kings of Cypress Pointe series. While a standalone, Mr. Silver builds upon the events of the previous four books. I also cannot wait to see what happens in the next books as this series keeps building upon itself. Lexi and Sterling's story is emotional and unexpected. We find out the true story behind Sterling's relationship with the older woman which has been a bit of a running theme throughout the books. We also get to know Lexi more and what lies behind some of the crazy stuff she's pulled in previous books. So, while you don't need to read the first four, I recommend you do - or at least the first trilogy. From what I remember, Joss and Dane's story doesn't progress the overall story arch much - some but not much. We still don't know who Pandora is and we hear less from her but I still love how she is used to progress to story and also add a bit of intrigue. It's a unique and fun story/world-building techniques. It's also been a while since I've read the rest of this series so I wish I would have relistened to the previous books which I enjoyed as well. Overall, Mr. Silver is an unexpectedly emotional but fabulous addition to this series and if you like enemies to lovers, sass and spite I highly recommend it.

This is the fifth book in the Kings of Cypress Pointe series. This is Sterling’s book. I really liked the relationship between Sterling and Rodrigues. This was a fake boyfriend/ second chance romance. When book four ended I really thought Sterling’s book was going to be a teacher/ student trope, but I am happy with the direction of this book. I can’t wait for Sexy Beast’s book! Bridget and Jake Bordeaux did a fabulous job narrating this book.

Sterling aka Mr. Silver is a 24k {fake} boyfriend😍 He & Lexi are each other’s missing piece. So glad it doesn’t take very long for them to figure it out.

He had his moments but y’all best do-over first kiss & holy WOW what a Christmas🔥

Best of the series

Fake dating, enemies to lovers, and 2nd chance romance all in one. Jake & Bridget Bordeaux did a wonderful job narrating what I think is the best book of the series.

Mr. Silver by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne is an enemies to lovers fake dating romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Bridget Bordeaux and Jake Bordeaux. This is the fifth book in the Kings of Cypress Pointe series and can be read as a standalone.

I absolutely love Rachel and Nikki's books! I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Sterling and Lexi. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Sexy Beast so I can get Ricky and Dez's story.

Bridget and Jake did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like enemies to lovers romances, fake dating romances, or contemporary romances.

Mr. Silver is Golden

Loved this story. This is the only book in the series i listened to and I had no problem following the storyline. I enjoyed the banter between the two main charectors. The love, hate was awesome. The story has a lot of detail and a wonderful plot. The narration is why i purchased the book. Jake and Bridget are my favorite male/female narrating team. They are wonderful. This story is a great listen. Get it!! You'll enjoy it.

Each Book In Series Just Gets Better!

I have yet to be disappointed by a single book in this series. I adored our feisty female main character Lexi, who was the perfect pairing with Sterling! Get ready for a ride that you won't want to stop. After finishing each book in this series I can't believe the next can be as good....wrong they just keep getting better ❤️

Favorite of the series!

This was my favorite of the series. I was kinda shocked by it not gonna lie. I never had connected with Sterling in the previous books and thought Lexi was a BA and was a fun influence on Blue but this one really got to me early on and I did not want this book to end!

Lexi has so much history that we get to find out in this one and we finally to get to see what was going on with the Dean and Sterling and I feel so much for him. The authors did a great job setting this story up in the previous 4 books and again this was my favorite of all of them. I loved the growing romance, I loved that they each had crushes on each other and things didnt work out because of pranks and miscommunication and other things. I do wish they admitted in the book that they had crushes on each other back then, like the epiphany moment between them, but that is really my only constructive feedback for the whole story. It made me reminiscent of my crushes back in high school and the giddy feelings and butterflies you get once they are reciprocated. I loved how BA Lexi was in this one but how vulnerable we got to see her. She definitely would be in my girl squad if she was real. I was waiting for Matt to be a predator like Gina but thank goodness that didnt happen. I would love to see his story maybe, he seems like my kinda of guy (kinda nerdy, listens to hip-hop, loves animals haha). I will say the reason this became my favorite the family aspect. I was nervous after how Lexi's step dad was talking to her but it was a tough love moment and he proved himself throughout the book that he cared deeply for her and for his other kids. He made the story elevated, with being there for Sterling too and for what happened at the end. Not gonna lie, I may have teared up when she texted him back at the end ❤️ I loved the family dynamic at their dinners, how they were involved in each other's life. Also loved the made family with the triplets and their girlfriends and family friends/close family members. It just gave me all the warm and fuzzies. All the feelings in the treehouse, the jealously and admitting their feelings, how they were there for each other. So swoonworthy. AND THE STEAM! So yummy 🥵🥵🥵

Narration was good. I have listened to this duo before and they do a good job with their performances. I think Bridget did a great job bringing Lexi to life and really epitomizing her BA persona/sharp edges, and her vulnerable ooey gooey center haha. I felt the heartache when she confronted her family member, it hurt my soul. I could feel her confusion when things were happening with Sterling. When Sterling admitted how he thought about her a lot when they were younger. So good. I will say I wish it had been duet narration because they do better doing their prospective characters.

I absolutely loved the cameos from the other characters, loved the lead up for book 6. I cannot wait to devour the Ricky's story on audio. Great job, so happy this was on audio. Will be getting this one in physical form as well because it will sit with me for awhile/now is in my top reads of the year ❤️
