only about 2 hours in. This is a surface-level anthology/academic encyclopedia of information on the various mythologies, not at all the collection of actual myths I was expecting. Narrator is good, but the material is educational, not entertaining, and often repeats the basics (retelling Greek god stories several times, for example).

Bite-size knowledge nuggets.

Excellent book - highly recommend it. Easy accessible for non mythology experts. Great introduction for further study

Great audio - very “readable”

Eight distinct cultures mythology are examined in detail. After listening I found myself far more interested in Egyptian mythology and Norse Mythology. All the mythologies were done quite well, the author lays out the stories typically in consecutive format. The typical mythology starts with the creation story and then the introduction of the major Gods and then the most popular stories. This is like the cliff notes for mythology and is an excellent introduction. You can quickly learn what your favorite mythologies are and if you wanna go deeper than you could read the Indian Mahabharata or Ramayana for example or the Norse Edda or a story about the monkey King of China. After reading this I learned about the monkey King and wasn't aware of that distinct Chinese story of mythology. This book is a crash course on the eight most popular mythologies and is absolutely worth it. Like the Japanese mythology with its demons and it's gods of creation everything was just perfectly explained in a concise manner. Highly recommend!

This collection is an incredible value for the money.

I really like the story of how you told it but it was too fast and you didn’t explain all you didn’t you didn’t write the whole story I just wanted to know what all the story was about but you just explained all of the spoilers for me that is really not good but all in all I really liked it because you put a lot of story in it in just two hours most of the gods of Mount Olympus thank you for all I’m giving you all five stars oh and I’m 11 duty the way. If someone else is reading is this do a sub in YouTube in RinaIL thanks
