Rousing Historic Fiction Less so Theologically

Excellent read. Highly recommended. The further I got into this work the more engaged I became on more levels than the initial hook (which is very pointy, indeed). One of its chief values is the itch it produced to know more of current and pasts of both Church and illuminati history (or lore). The story pulls the reader in inexoribly to a very close read. I found myself staying in the car a bit longer before and after the ride to work just to stay satiated. The traditional juxtaposition of science vs religion is covered in a highly imaginative fashion. Remarkable for the absense of vitriol that usually accompanies the subject matter. You will not be sorry you purchased this work by Dan Brown.

Dan Brown Has Another Winner

After reading the Da Vinci Code, I picked up this audiobook. I was initially nervous on how good it would be based on the mixed reviews, but overall I can say I liked it just as much as the Da Vinci Code. It's filled with intrigue, suspense, and action. Dan Brown again did his research so there is a high sense of realism to the situations in the book. I would highly recommend this title if you enjoyed the Da Vinci Code.

fast paced enjoyment

This was an absorbing book with many unexpected twists and turns. Just enough romantic interest to keep the plot fascinating, with action adventure in just about every chapter

Dan Browns comprehensive writing style is not only captivating it is intelligent. I feel as though I could produce the movie with the images in my head that he conjures up. If you have any satiation for feeding your mind with engaging action, then this is a must listen. Whether you already listened (or read) the Da Vinci Code is irrevalent. Once you read this it will either make you want to follow up with the Da Vinci Code or else applaud the work of Dan Brown for giving you more of what you long for. It was a bit odd to have the main character Robert Langdon in both stories, however if you can get past this minor distraction, then you will be glad to took the time to listen to both.

Angels and Demons

I listened to this after The Davinci Code and, while I enjoyed the same nonstop pace and interwoven history lessons, I found this and The Davinci Code a little too much like television: flashing from scene to scene without much literary pause to reflect in depth on the characters' history, motivations, and morality code.

Intense

I read Da Vinci Code first, never knowing anything about the author. I loved it, and this story is just as compelling. I am not Catholic, but this book gave some amazing insight and challenged my own spirituality.

Dan Brown is Awesome!

I loved this audio book. The story was thought provoking and the narration was extremely well done.

Really really good

A fun and thoughtful roller coaster ride. Narration was good. Poe does need to compress the lip licking and readjusting. Protools has some built in plugins for that. Haha. But seriously, the book was way better then I thought it was going to be. It was great

A Good Listen

Enjoyed the book. I likes it some much I will continue the series. Very interesting plot with nice pieces of history.
