Publisher's summary

Contains books one and two of My Ninja Girl, an action-packed harem adventure series where cultivation and cyberpunk collide.

My Ninja Girl, book one

Killer nuns. With gatling guns.

Micah Regent is a pre-med student in Neo-Hokkaido, just hoping his snarky grandmother's prayer can help him pass an exam. When two sexy ninja girl statues come to life before his very eyes and start fighting each other, his life will never be the same. Drawn into a rebel faction by an old friend and his less-than-perfect luck, Micah must not only defy the iron-handed, bucket-headed Society of Monks (and killer nuns), he must uncover the secrets behind the ninja girls and the industria that not only runs the world, but through his veins.

You already know he's going to save the day, so the real question is: How many ninja girls can he marry along the way?

My Ninja Girl, book two

Gorgeous ninja girls vs. monks so ugly they never take off their helmets! Martial arts and cultivation vs. cyberpunk tech and oppressive regimes! Weddings and a spa day vs. saving Neo-Hokkaido from tyrannical jackbooted thugs!

Micah, his vulgar grandmother, and his team of sexy ninja girls uncovered plenty of secrets in their first adventure, but the party is just getting started. The Society of Monks has struck again in the vilest way possible, and it's up to Micah and crew to put an end to these evil bucket-headed chucklef***s. To do so, they're going to have to think outside the box.

Action, Intrigue, and Epic Battles

Words cannot express what a wonderful job Tessa Irondale did narrating all of the various characters. Got to say that Granny's filthy mouth had to be one of my favorite things about this series so far. No matter what the situation or circumstance that old biddy had something to say and most of the time it was damend hilarious. Loved this box set and hope for another in the future. I highly recommend this series.

very good listen

I am not even sure if there will be a book 2 I think it is a great stand alone book without a stupid cliffhanger. the characters were wonderful.no overpowered mc s and no crazy divine intervention. I highly recommend. It is cool the parallels with a highly powerful tyrannical government under the guise of doing what is right for the people. the citizens are monitored in every aspect of life. they use a deadly sickness to control the population and gain more power. " to protect the people"

So fun

Wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. Not only was the plot interesting, the world was quite colorful as well. But the best part has to be the characters, while the MC isn't groundbreaking the rest of his crew were gems. Get this book and binge out, you won't regret it.

Amazing worldbuilding with some flaws

A great story with good pacing, that pulls you in with memorable characters such as the grandma and has a somewhat deep worldbuilding aspect. However, their are a few annoying flaws.

Now this two in one book is excellent and I don't regret my purchase. However, my biggest complaint is that I personally hate it when topics or locations are brought up but never explained. This story has two characters with main character group whom are from two seperate races and the story constantly reminds of that fact. You learn that people in this nation are shocked to see them walking around with mc just because of race. The mc never goes into detail as to why and is completely oblivious to history and politics of other nations. It also stops being cute after a while when the race is treated as permanent name of the main characters. It drifts back and forth even at the end with mc calling other mc characters be their first name or race name and its a bit odd.

The other thing that annoyed me is that after listening to the deep political worldbulding and the unique goverment body's evil acts. It strikes me as odd that the college student lead character has been affiliated with a terrorist resistance group since childhood and has no idea who resistance leaders are or who the goverment leaders are. The mc does not know the goverment organization structure or what military factions the goverment has at its disposal.
