Sweet Forbidden Love

This book is an easy, lustful, build up of love, lust and reconciliation. It is a great story. The narrators did an amazing job. The spice is decent, not burn down the house hot but hot nonetheless.

The audiobook is wonderfully narrated by Heather Firth and Anthony Palmini. I listened to the prequel before this one, and it definitely adds so much to the story, so I highly recommend reading or listening to that first.
Forbidden love, step-siblings, and pure, obsessed young love. Ally and Dan have a beautiful yet extremely passionate relationship, and their story is truly an emotional roller coaster with lots of spicy moments. I was still a bit annoyed by Ally and some of her actions, just like in the prequel, but I’m definitely looking forward to the next part!

what an amazing end

I really enjoy these 2 books! The narration really brought the story to life, I look forward to reading more of Skyla's books especially the next one in this series as well as listening to the audios once they are completed.
Dan and Ally's story was an amazing ride with complicated obstacles but I'm so happy they got their HEA.

Favorite or forbidden sin?

Story
I’ve read a lot of step-sibling romances and let me tell its prequel set the bar very high for me! I devoured this in one sitting. But I am not going to lie, I couldn’t give this book 5 stars, because the story wasn’t as original as I wanted or as good as the prequel and something was missing in the story… But I still loved it! Something I absolutely loved about these two books were that they were the perfect balance between medium burn forbidden angst and yet still off the charts with the buildup of spice.

I absolutely loved the conclusion to Ally and Dan’s story! The buildup was intense and the come down was so incredibly gratifying. Ally’s good girl/good daughter persona was so relatable to me, of course it can be very irritating, but she was just 20-21-year-old, - I loved seeing her come out of her shell and be true to herself by the end of the story. Dan is a dirty talker and such a simp for Ally. I enjoyed getting more insight into the rest of the Blackwood family since the novella was such a short intro. The scenes with the other brothers and even the extended family scenes were really fun (Daxton is the best). Can’t wait to read more about each of them!!

If you pick this up PLEASE make sure you read the prequel which follows the beginning of their story and teenage years as this book picks up at later point of their life. The experience was so much better and I felt much more connected to the characters.

Heather Firth & Anthony Palmini both deliver a truly mesmerizing performance. Their delivery and cadence are spot-on, perfectly matched to the flow of the story and keeping you locked in from start to finish. You can feel that they’re fully invested in the storyline, which only draws you in deeper.
