Publisher's summary

Susan Wiles is blissfully retired from her career as a music teacher. What a joy to be able to attend the holiday concert without worrying about how her chorus will perform. But wait. Where's the principal? Susan offers to check, only to find the principal lying dead on her office floor. Of course, now that she's retired, she has time to help the local police (one of whom is her daughter) solve the mysterious crime. Did the principal die of natural causes?

The bruise on her face doesn't seem severe enough to be fatal. What about that funfetti cupcake sitting on her desk? Could she have been poisoned? Susan has just found the perfect retirement activity, much to her daughter's chagrin. And when the principal's teenage daughter, one of Susan's all time favorite students, asks for help - how can she say no? Little does she realize that this crime will take her far from the schoolhouse doors, as she investigates a mystery that extends back into one family's painful past.

Fast Paced Cozy Mystery

Murder is Elementary is a fast paced cozy mystery. The characters and plot are well developed. It’s hard to believe this is the author’s debut novel.

I listened to this book on Audible. You’re guaranteed to be entertained with the combination of the author’s wit and narrator’s character voices.

I definitely recommend.

I love these books!

I am so happy these books are on audio. When Susan retired schoolteacher goes to the Christmas play she is so happy she doesn’t have to worry about how her students will perform if everyone has the right costumes on ET see. Everything is going great until she seeks out the principal and this is when Susan‘s amateur sleuth thing job begins. What a doozy of a first case with crazy wacky suspects and a perpetrator I honestly didn’t see coming. I love Diane‘s books and even though they all have murders in them they are happy go lucky feeling books and when it’s over it’s a bittersweet moment. I can’t wait for the next one and audio I absolutely love these books highly recommend them. That’s always Diane is pick the perfect narrator I love her!

THE WORST

This has to be one of the worst books I've ever read. If I knew how to get my money back, I'd ask. Don't waste your time or your money on this one.
