Publisher's summary

With his nemesis gone from the continent, pursuing her nefarious agenda, Cairn ends his self-imposed exile and returns to find the Infernals on the brink of war.

The disaster is averted with concessions that include Cairn himself returning to Whitefall.

But what he finds beyond the capital gates is a place very different from the home he remembers.

Listen, as Cairn advances his magic, reunites with his family, takes control of his regiment, and grapples with a world that has transformed in his absence. And uncovers a conspiracy that might just be his undoing.

Monarch III: Whitefall is book three of RE: Monarch, one of the most beloved progression fantasy web serials on Royal Road. Perfect for fans of Bryce O'Connor, Luke Chmilenko, and Cale Plamann.

Dragged in the middle of the book, but was good in the end

After the first 6-8 hours it started to drag on so many things that it started to get annoying, but the last 4 hours made up for it with

Liked it but main character didn’t progress

I really liked what was in the book, but for as long as it is, it didn’t feel like a full book. Other side characters progressed, but the MC didn’t progress much compared to the first two books. The story was building to something but it never got there. At the end of the book I was just wishing I would have waited until the next book comes out to read this one. It didn’t end on a cliffhanger or anything like that. There were just no real stakes in the last conflict of the book. I will 100% keep reading the series.

If you enjoyed the first two books in this series, you will enjoy this book also. Plot grows, world builds, characters develop. Recommend

Need more asap please!

Odd no prompting for review at the end of the book, had to find it at the bottom of the "title details" page.

Anyway, great book, great series & narration by Luke is top notch as usual. Keep em coming and I'll keep buying!

Thanks for the work folks!

Good but felt short

While it was a long book, for some reason it felt short. Not because of a lack of things happening just that it didnt seem to have any real big moments. It felt like a book spilt in two and this was the casual build up part. It was still a great listen but no stunning emotional moments really.

At the end it felt like this arc of the story was just getting started when it suddenly ends. Like it's part one of a two part arc.
