Publisher's Summary

So I’m a seer. A Cognizant under the Mandate.

Life should be easy now, right?

Wrong.

With all the “accidents” that keep befalling me, I’ll be lucky to survive the week. That is, if my crazy boss doesn’t work me to death first....

Where is this going?

At this point in the series, I thought it was all very interesting but was wondering where things were going and why it was taking so long to get there. After listening to the rest of the series, I'm completely blown away! The pace definitely gets even faster from the next book and the reveals keep coming. I'm giving this book 4 stars because I still think book 1 and 2 could have been combined, or they could have at least each been a bit shorter.

A great continuation

I find this even better than first novel and am excited for the 3rd installment. I love Nero and Felix is a sweetheart. The characters are fantastic and it has become one of my favorite series. I cannot wait to see how things progress for Sasha and I find the twist of Grigori Rasputin being added as a possible ancestral link fascinating. Bring on the third novel, way to go Zales, brilliantly done.

Misfortune Teller Sasha Urban Series, Book 2 By: Dima Zales, Anna Zaires Narrated by: Emily Durante If you like supernatural creatures, supernatural abilities, four supernatural living together and one is in animal form, and different romances. Great fun!😁 Narration is great!

Enjoyable

This story has pulled me in and kept me intrigued. Weird things seem to happen to Sascha and bad “luck” follows her around. I am still trying to figure out Nero and Darron I can’t wait to see what happens there

Better than the 1st

I still don't like the voice artist. She doesn't have a range of make voices, that can't turn me of from the ones she's supposed to be attracted to.

I'm hooked!

I can't stop listening to Sasha Urban. She's awesome! I love how the book is perfectly paced so you are with her as she grows in her powers. I wonder if she's going to get a second power?? Nero messed up this round. I can't wait to find out what he is. This book is the 2nd book in the Sasha Urban series. It's best read after the first book titles after the series. Emily Durante does a fantastic job narrating. She was very appropriate for the characters and brought the book to life.

Misfortune Teller

By Dima Zales and Anna Zaires Narrated by Emily Durante The storyline in Book Two of this series gets better. And by better, I mean more complicated and messy 🙂 The story picks up the same day as book one. Sasha has learned she is a Seer, has a mentor, and is covered under the supernatural mandate. Unfortunately someone is still trying to kill her. There isnt much that can be considered romance, but mid-way through you'll start to realize who will be involved once the romancing gets started. Expect more pop culture references and reusing of phrases from first book. The main character, Sasha Urban, is portrayed as an intelligent and curious woman. Her actions dont match her description. It's like the author wants you to think she is smart but then have her actions making it seem like she is a spontaneous idiot. 1. Meets a dangerous witch with no back up 2. Makes a bargain with no knowledge of what it means 3. Wonders off in a foreign world Emily Durante is so good in the Alex Craft series, but for some reason it took me to book 2 in order to get use to her in this one. She does great with giving characters different voices.

Life gets interesting

It’s the morning after her Jubilee Party and Sasha’s hangover is notable. She’s now an official member of the Cognizant society with her boss Nero as her official mentor. He pushes Sasha farther and farther, but he’s no Mr Miyage. When will Sasha decide to push back? Then there are the multiple attempts on Sasha’s life and the mystery of her birth parents to try and unravel. Could her domovoi Fluffster hold some of the answers? Can Baba Yaga unlock some of his history? Is the possibility worth the risk of Sasha making a deal with her? Life sure has gotten interesting since Sasha was outed as a Seer and sworn into Cognizant society. Durante does a decent job of narration.

Ugh what’s going on with these authors?!

I’m really confused at what should be going on in these books. Like what is the end goal? I feel like the author(s) DONT really know and are just winging it. The premises is kind of a jumbled mess. The only reason why I’m continuing with the series is because it’s free for me (for WHATEVER REASON it’s in the romance package????) and because there is legit no other GOOD series that I haven’t listened to. All the female protagonists are dumb, irritating, whiny, and stumble upon saving a world while the other half is all those things plus add in a reverse harem. It’s so irritating. This is the time of the feminists so where are all the strong women??? I suppose it hasn’t reached books yet because every author has yet to make their books about one (including the ones with the description of a “strong” female lead, it’s really not). I think I’m going to be done with audible for a while. Sigh :(

Pfft!

This story is odviously a filler book. Not quite enough story for all three books. Could have done with out the 'Copperfield' referances as well. All in all this is a disappointment.
