Love that this picked up right where Mine to claim left off. Quick easy SPICY read. The narrator for this Alexander Cendese was amazing.

This was so dark and steamy! 🖤

We are finally starting to see a relationship develop between Devon and Rex. And I am loving it! I love how they will do anything to protect each other. We get to see a little bit more of the post apocalyptic world they are living in and learn more about Devon’s past.

Rex is so freaking strong. The alpha of their duo. He knows what he needs to do to survive and fights to stay in control. But when he gets sick, Devon forces Rex to take a break and recover. Then Devon takes control. I loved their push & pull.

Devon is so feisty, but so sweet. He loves being a brat and pushing Rex’s buttons. He tries to hide it, but he’s falling hard for Rex. I loved seeing the vulnerable side of him. He will do anything to protect Rex, including putting himself in danger just to made sure Rex is safe.

The audio for this book is really good. Alexander Cendese does an amazing job narrating Devon. He was perfect for Devon! You can feel his fear and his desire. This is the first time I’ve listened to him and will definitely listen to him again.

Mine To Protect is book 2 in the Wasteland Temptations series. This 4 book series of novellas is dark, fun, & dirty. They are all quick reads with LOTS of spice. EV Olsen has created an interesting post apocalyptic world. I’m excited to see where she takes it.

I will deny it forever but even made me cry sometimes.

As part two (and book 2) of the Wasteland series, we continue with Devon and Red story, this time told in Devon’s POV. A bit longer than book 1, we can see Devon’s thoughts more clearly, why he struggles the way he does and what’s holding him back. With a sick Rex, Devon needs to do anything necessary to take care of his man and make sure they all survive to see another day.

I love how this book was way more emotional than the first one, as we see more vulnerability and feelings, as well as that mean bratty streak we adore in Devon. The smex was on point and, although we see another couple for books 3 & 4, I can’t get enough of these two. For this to bee EV’s debut series, it’s so good I can’t never put it down!

ALC REVIEW PART:

I’ve always loved Alexander Cendese (got way obsessed on Puckboys audiobooks and it was downhill from there) so I was excited to see how he would portray Devon this time, and lemme tell you ya, he nailed it. The cheekiness, the vulnerability, the sassiness, everything was on point for me, and don’t get me started on his other character’s voices. 10/10 I’m happy with it and it got me hooked from moment one.

This story is outstanding. There's so much story in this short book. The plot is so not what I was expecting. Narration by Alexander Cendese is absolutely perfect. he did an amazing job bringing life to the characters and the continuation of this book.

I absolutely loved this one. I loved that we got to see the continuation of Red and Devon’s story but this time it’s in Devon’s story. We also get to learn more about Devon and his past.

Also, Alexander did so amazing that I was so enthralled with how he was so in tune with Devon’s emotion.

I cannot wait for the next installment. I want more of what’s to come.

Devon’s POV

Mine to Protect is book two is Wasteland Temptations and the audio version is 100% perfection! The narration is amazing, totally what I felt Devon sounded like.

The story picks up after Rex and Devon started traveling together. We get to see how their relationship is moving and how their love is evolving and how they nurture each other! Mine to Protect is so perfect hot and loving! I was screaming! Rex is absolutely perfect! I loved to hear Devon’s POV and also loved how he opened up to Rex! 10/10 audio spicy novella! Gimme more!

Devon & Rex…swoon

This is book two and from Devon POV and I think I love it more than Rex’s even though Rex’s POV is just as amazing.

Devon and Rex are traveling to another town, when Rex falls sick and Devon pretty much looses it. But Devon doesn’t let Rex getting sick stop him from killing to protect Rex. Afterwards Devon finally caves to his feelings and what is and fully submits to Rex.

I read this as an audiobook and it was absolutely freaking delicious. Alexander Cendese is new to me narrator and I enjoyed every minute of it. The defiance, the panic, fierceness, protectiveness, submission, and possessive is clearly defined and it was delicious.

He’s starting to learn

I’m still very confused on how things have come to the way they are. But I guess that’s the point, these are meant to keep you on the edge of wanting to know more haha.

But the fact that this young man wants to protect him when he’s sick just shows he loves him! Even if he’s a brat haha! I definitely want to keep listening so I can figure out what’s going on and how they got to how things are!

Mine to Protect is the second novella in the Wasteland Temptations dystopian series. This is a continuation from book #1, only in Devon's POV. Rex and Devon continue their journey amidst the struggles of a broken society and danger from every turn. What keeps this story from just being pure smex is how Devon is actually starting to let down his walls towards Rex. He's still a dang brat, but maybe he's starting to become a man.

The narration was surprisingly good. Hear me out. Alexander Cendese isn't a narrator that I normally enjoy and that is strictly my personal preference. However, his voicing of Devon was spot on with all the character's bratty attitude and whining. 5/5 we-don't-judge stars!! 🌟
