Terrible narrator

A change in narrator took the already unsteady character of Anita Blake from overwhelmed with new powers and relationships into whiny, weak, and grating. I will not be listening to anything from this narrator again.

Micah background

Anita covers for Larry Kirkland by going to Philadelphia to raise a zombie that was going to testify in a trial. Micah travels with as her Assistant and to help her with the Ardeur.
Special Agent in Charge Fox knows Micah from when he was first attacked 9 years earlier. Anita realizes how much she doesn’t know about Micah; and he shares his story with her.
When she is injured doing the job, Anita learns what’s in her bloodstream.

I’ve read and listened to this book many times before, so I cruised through at 1.5 speed.
Colette has a pleasant voice, but there’s not enough character differentiation. Colette’s voice sounds familiar, but I haven’t listened to anything else from Audible with this name as narrator.

A little short

Perhaps this was an in between book, as it seemed far shorter than the others so far. This was also the third new narrator. I've been binging these books one after another so it does throw off the pace a bit. Not to mention the tone of all the three voices is different, and they don't actually pronounce things the same, which is mildly irritating. Other than that, I could have used more on Micah like we got with Edward a few books back.

Not worth the money or credit

This is one you can and will want to skip. I can’t with the narrator. Sounds like a 70 year old grandmother just horrible for this type of story. I just can’t even finish it with her speaking. She ruined the whole story and experience

What the????

I usually LOVE these narrations. I can even stomach Cynthia Holloway. However, this was just bad, bad, BAD!! Least favorite thus far.

Boring, no storyline

This book shouldn't be part of the actual series. It didn't really have much of a storyline besides the two flying out of town, feeding the ardour once and then raising a zombie. The end. It should have been a book about Micah, since that was the title of it.... Very disappointing

Short but good

This is practically a short story but provides some insight into key characters in the series.

Narrator better but not Alexis

she growled or rasped her male voices but was more tolerable the Calloway.. Book was short short but allowed some of what happened between Nathaniel and Anita in Incubus Dreams to happen between Micah and Anita..
