Learning to increase my reading speed has helped

I wasn’t expecting really to learn about speed reading with this book, but after giving it a listen and starting to practice a bit, I have definitely increased my speed at least a little. I’ll probably continue to practice, and see how fast I can get!

Great no matter what age or occupation

No matter what you do for a living, you can benefit by picking up some of the habits and techniques in this book. Yes, it’s especially helpful if you are a student and need a reliable way of increasing your memory capacity, but even if you are in business or customer service you can benefit by keeping your memory sharp.

Spaced Repetition is an amazing memory hack!

I always wondered why cramming for an exam was such an ineffective way of committing info to long term memory. Now, I always use the spaced repetition hack to protect my ‘investment’ of the time I spent studying. It works wonders at keeping the important info in there!

Compressing information, the Major System

I really enjoyed learning about all of the different memory techniques!
My favorite so far is the memory palace - it's really fun creating memory palaces to store information that you want to access. I’m glad I picked up this book, because previously I was intimidated by the idea of doing memory capacity techniques, and now I know how simple and fun it really is.

Learn about Spatial Memory - the Key to Unlimited

This book will have you rethinking everything you know about how memories are formed!
I liked how it covers the theory as well as giving practical exercises to learn the memory techniques. I found it fascinating how spatial memory is actually the key to an unlimited memory. Taking advantage of this information will make you feel like a ninja!

Great recipes for memory improvement

I got this book because I wanted to learn about how to improve my memory. This includes two books on memory, one about dieting mostly and one about how to improve your memory capacity using techniques like the Memory Palace.
The best part, however, was the recipes. There are some bomb entrees and salads in here, and I can’t wait to try the rest.

It’s a Complete Self-Help Crash Course!

WOW! The value in this book is amazing. It really is a complete self-help crash course! I don’t think you would necessarily classify this book as a self help book, though because it’s not really about positive thinking and emotions...it’s much more practical and rooted in science, which I appreciated. You will find some amazingly helpful techniques in here, everything from speed reading to a helpful timer method that can hack your productivity. Up your mental skills today!
