Fantastic book!!

I loved listening to this book. So informative and insightful. And the claim in the title is not that far off, you really can learn the art of a deal with in 3 week or so. I was struggling with negotiating a contract with a supplier and using some of the technique mentioned in this book. I was not only able to close out the contract, I was able to get a couple of referrals too. Thank you Dr Beau Young!!

Effective, Applicable and Easy to Understand

Recently got into real estate investing, and while I was excited to enter one of the most popular investment markets, was afraid I would be taken advantage of due to my lack of assertiveness. In business, you should be considering how you might be taken advantage of at all times, so I bought this to give me an edge on negotiating, and how to not cave to someone else's preferences in a business transaction.

After listening, I now have an entire tool kit of techniques and methods for identifying what I want out of a deal, how to protect it, and how to decipher if someone else might be trying take advantage of me. The narrator is speaks clearly and engagingly, is easy to follow along with without droning on. Would easily recommend for any new entrepreneurs or business owners.

What every negotiator should know.

Excellent book on negotiations. Beau Young uses case studies as well as a well-thought-out approach. He does an excellent job of paralleling his information with his class.

Listener received this title free

art of the deal

The book had a good outline regarding how to go about the negotiation process--from the first handshake to the last encounter. Usually negations breakdown AFTER the first meeting--not during. That's the big takeaway for me that is often hard to grasp when you're focused on that first meeting.
