Complicating my choice is the fact that someone is trying to destroy the warlock coven. If I don't stop them, the warlocks will be annihilated. The task seems impossible until Gerard Freshwater, a distractingly handsome witch, explodes into my life. He's determined to make me see that being a witch isn't just the best option, but the only option.

Alright Story, not Riveting

This story was just ok, it did not make me want to read the next book even though it ends in a cliffhanger. The main character is rather shallow and I really did not care for her. Narration was done well for the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

a little slow at times but a good listen in general. not sure if l will go on with the series

This could have been so much better.

The author has comedic timing down to an art but none of the characters are fully fleshed. It feels like the story just begins in the middle of another one, as if we're supposed to know what's going on. There is no relationship building. One day the heroine and male interest hate each other and the next, they are falling in love. This story could have been incredible with more character building. You barely get to know any of the characters resulting in no attachment on the reader's part. I never write reviews but I feel like this author could be something great and this story is proof of potential.

Slow narrator

The narrator was sooo slow and talks in a whisper. It’s confusing and made it hard to follow along. Even in the action scenes. It’s like she’s hiding and trying to be quiet. Made it Really hard to finish.

The characters were very believable and relatable. I really enjoyed listening to the story. The author did a great job.

The worldview worked well. The storyline flowed nicely. There were no jarring segues. It had a sad ending though.
