A murder staged to look like a suicide fools everyone except Albert Smith. He knows better. In Lyme Regis with his faithful dog, the victim invited him to visit the seaside resort. Now he’s dead, and Albert wants to know why.

But when the trail of clues leads Albert into a darkened courtyard, Rex finds himself left to investigate alone, and all too soon a second body is discovered. Is there a killer out there? Or are the suicides just poorly timed?

In a deadly race to the finish, Albert knows he may have to sacrifice himself to save the next victim, and Rex must risk everything to save Albert.

In a battle high on the cliffs above the Jurassic Coast, does that leave anyone to save Rex?

I love Albert Smith and Rex Harrison.

Best series I have read/listened to, ever. Albert, being the same age as myself, gave me pause to know that you are never too old to go on an adventure. Of course his dog, Rex, stole the story. I laughed, and I cried, I didn't want it to end. I thank Steve Higgs for his amazing imagination and for writing this. But most of all, I thank Charles Robert Fox, who is, in my estimation, one of the best narrators I have listened to. I look forward to Albert Smith's and Rex's further adventures.

Fantastic! Great plots and humor. I enjoyed the entire series. I hope there will be more.

Incredible story telling!

I love the interactions between the animals and the animals with humans . What a romp Albert and his dog, Rex have had. I hope there’s more in store for these two! The narrator is absolutely fabulous!

Such a fun n mystery series

I just finished the whole series and loved it. I’m disappointed that there aren’t anymore books. I recommend the whole series and I loved the narrator’s voices, I’d really like more books on the ones that got away but that’s all I’ll say about that. I love Rex and how he and Albert relate to one another. You’ve got to get these books. I think I’ll start them again.

The narrator did a great job of bringing the story to life. Steve Higgs is a wonderful author. I am bummed that Audible doesn’t have the last book of this series. Other than that I’m looking forward to listening to more of his books.
