Have never read a romance novel

This book is an amazing storytelling of relationship and struggle. I have never read a romance novel before. Romance movies and stories have never been a genre I have particularly been interested in. But...the story and the characters in this story are so rich and full of personality and depth. I wanted to know what was happening next in the story and found myself thinking about it when I wasn’t listening. The sex moments are extremely hot without losing me in the description. I found myself holding onto every word. Oh and not to forget the humor in this book had me laughing out loud multiple times. The rise and fall of the storytelling kept a pace that held my interest through the entire journey. Fantastic book with the highest recommendation!

Amazingly original plot!

It’s not just a flip on the trope with a woman as the billionaire coming into save the day, it’s a uniquely woven plot with well-defined characters who aren’t immediately like-able but grow on you and redeem themselves. Such a breath of fresh air in a genre that can become mundane within the billionaire theme. I found the story captivating and unpredictable. As someone who devours audiobooks weekly this was a welcomed surprise. The authors style also drew you into the world and made it come alive.

Very enjoyable role reversal

This was my first try at Angelina Lopez, she did a really great job of keeping me interested in the story line from start to finish.

Angelina certainly reversed the roles here. Most Millionaire/Billionaire, arranged marriage books have the MMC as the rich dude looking for the wife. But in Lush Money, Roxanne is the more dominant one and the seeker of the arrangements. She seems cold and distant, while Mateo is warm and the one wanting to "get to know her" first.

I really enjoyed watching their relationship evolve and feelings develop.

Although this is a series, each book is a standalone of different main characters. I definitely plan on reading the rest of the series.

The reason this lost a star was due to the audio ARC I received. I know it's my personal preference but I think if the book is going to be told in dual POVs, then the narration should follow suit. Other than that, I enjoyed the narration as well.

A beautiful story

I absolutely adored this story had me captivated since page 1. The complexity of this story and the characters were well developed.
