Publisher's summary

With the Stronghold of Eredain secured against the Darkness, Aranos and his party are finally free to travel to the lost city of Antas and pursue Geltheriel's Cleansing Quest. Phil and his new party are leveled up and ready to meet Aranos there. Surely, the combined powers and talents of both parties will make short work of the city's defenders!

Nothing is ever that simple in Singularity Online, though. There are still mysteries appearing in Eredain. The High Roads are far more dangerous than anything Aranos faced in the Blightlands, and the city of Antas has already repelled assaults from both human and elven armies...with no survivors returning. Discovering the more potent Enhanced Aspects of magic will help Aranos penetrate the Library of Antas and its secret Vault, but just using them could destroy him.

At the same time, Aranos has to learn about his new noble title and how to build the fledgling House Evenshade through alliances and the efforts of the group of Travelers that once tried to kill him but now call him their Lord. Yet, it seems as if a hidden hand is working to bring his House down almost before he's built it.

Excellent story and concept.

I've actually read through this series twice now. It's amazing how much you miss the first time you go through a book. I'm really anxious for the next one to be released. Don't keep us waiting Kyle Johnson!

To the narrator: I could tell you aren't used to cursing, which is a little funny. I would ask that you check fantasy word pronunciation though, like "banshee." That being said, I hope it's still your voice on the remaining book/books. You're doing great.

Crunchy goodness

Fantastic gamelit with constant magic theorycraft, great characters, an engaging story, and a lot of crunch. Keep them coming.

Idiocracy + one punch man

The MC is supposed to be clever but he isn't. He only displays common sense when others fail to do so, which impresses them way more than it should. They are equally impressed with his "tactics" which any 10 year old that plays MMOs would know.

I like MCs that are a little stronger or have an edge but his power level is so overdone its boring and annoying. Everyone around him only has power because of him. None of them would stand on their own. Nothing he does is impressive anymore.

The overall story is good and aside from the times side characters are stroking his ego or the book is going about the newest overpowered ability or trick that he did nothing to earn it keeps a decent pace.

If the author reads this, keep writing and doing your thing. This book just wasn't for me.

God I love a smart MC

It is so so refreshing to follow a main character that can put together obvious clues. Imagine my joy when this character can put together obscure clues. The ending of this book was a joy, and it's so damn interesting.

All of the magic and how it works and enchanting is so interesting. I'll happily continue following this series.

Very good and kinda boring

Ok so there are a lot of really good points to this book and a bunch of overly complicated/ dull points. So here we have this character who in being the luckiest/ semi clever first sorcerer has gained spells, abilities, perks, titles, gifts and companions that make him over powered and frankly kinda a boring character due to the fact that nothing can truly stop him. With all of his perk and junk (because it is to much stuff) no form of magic is out side of reach being able to twist any spell to fit the plot or encounter takes away from any resemblance of tension. On the other hand the author writes the amazing flushed out world that has some great potential. Companions that start off clearly being NPC with vanilla personalities that evolve into some truly fun characters that add depth to the story. A magic system that has some truly great aspects while being comprehensive in the scope of the world that is flows very easily. The MC is smart but not a boring know it all. While he makes simple mistakes that most people would make which makes him even more relatable. Working off that you have a character that is the sole focus of everything with so much power that he is never truly in danger while out side of healing spells he can do everything. So you can kill off everyone but the heal bot and the MC would not be that inconvenienced which takes away form the other characters.
All that being said the author put to many powers perk etc. on to the MC which takes away from everything making for a book that is very good and kinda boring.

spike4269 on twitter if anyone want to talk about the book. I welcome all people this is just my opinion and i love to hear others maybe i overlooked something.
