Publisher's summary

One night isn’t supposed to lead to love.

Jamie Stone is rich, beautiful, and bored out of his skull. The past few years have been an endless round of parties, and the decadence has lost its luster. When a late night decision to get away lands him in the small seaside town of Heather Bay, Jamie's convinced he's made a mistake.

Heather Bay is no Ibiza, but it does have Will.

Will is stressed, stretched, and doesn't have time for anything but work. He's too busy trying to keep his head above water to focus on the London party boy who keeps ending up in his bed. Jamie is nothing but a distraction, but Will can't resist coming back for more, especially with the harsh realities of farming nipping at his heels.

With the clock ticking on Jamie’s stay and the chaos of lambing season fast approaching, both men will have to look beyond themselves and let go of their fears. If they can, they might find the one thing they’ve always needed.

Like I Needed is a steamy and sweet hook-ups to lovers contemporary MM romance featuring a city boy with a hedonistic reputation, a gruff farmer in need of a break, endless amounts of snow, friends with no boundaries, terrible scrambled eggs, and the breathtaking beauty of the Yorkshire moors.

It is book three in the Heather Bay series. While it can be listened to as a standalone, it’s best enjoyed as part of the series.

Cute....

This was cute, but not my favorite of this series. Where the others were probably a strong 4.5 this is closer to just 4 stars. I could not connect with Jamie until well after the halfway point. He felt like a flibbertigibbet. I loved Will and eventually I liked them together I just think Jamie got way more. It was nice to see his eventual growth and I did connect with him that when you don't have aim or purpose it can make you antsy or depressed.
I am very much looking forward to the next book!!!

Perfect Story

*Audio Review*

You can see my original review below. But in short...I love this story, these guys and this series.

What needs to be added is that narrator Dan Calley is dreamy, and he’s perfect for this story. He captures the men and the vibe of the whole story perfectly. I will definitely be listening to this story again.

Takeaway: Whether you read this story or listen to it you are in for a good one.

*Original Review*

A really beautifully opposites attract story between a trust fund party guy and a farmer. The two would normally never meet in any circumstance, but by chance, Jamie is having a bit of a life crisis. His hedonistic lifestyle has lost its lustre. He figures getting away will give him a fresh perspective.

When he meets Will in a pub in Heather Bay, a one-night stand with the sexy local seems like a perfect distraction. But one night turns into a second. Suddenly the farm life offers a purpose that the eating, drinking, and shopping life never provided.

And Will finds himself more settled than he ever had before. He loves farming, but the lifestyle is tough alone. But perhaps he doesn’t have to do it alone.

They each provide a beautiful balance to the other. And what comes is a true romance, complete with two amazing men, some rambunctious lambs, and a bunch of nosey, meddling friends.

Posh Boy Meets Farm Boy

Like I Needed is the third book in the Heather Bay series, and is my favorite of the series yet. It can be read as a standalone, but I’d highly recommend reading the first two so you learn more about Will’s friends and get a little more background on Will himself. As the blurb describes, we have Jamie, the hedonistic trust funder, running off to Heather Bay to try to find himself. What he finds is Will, the workaholic sheep farmer. One night leads to more nights, which lead to Jamie helping Will through the most strenuous time of his year. We get lots of steamy scenes with the only relationship angst coming from both characters’ inner monologues worrying about not being enough for the other to stay. And given their differences, the amount of worrying is justified and not excessive. The only real tension in the book is the lambing season itself. I will say that there’s some descriptive sheep birthing scenes, so if you’re squeamish about that sort of thing, you might want to skip over those parts. But then we get to hear about adorable lambs, along with Will’s dogs and cat. Makes my animal loving heart smile.

I always volunteer to listen to Charlie Novak’s audiobooks because I enjoy Dan Calley. His low keyed tones worked well for this book. I particularly like how he portrays Will’s friends, and I can’t wait to listen to Alex and Henry’s book next.

I received a promotional copy of this audiobook, and am happy to leave an honest review.

OMG - I absolutely love Will and Jamie! They are so great together! They balance each other out and support each other!

I loved how Will's friends helped him along with getting together with Jamie! The Heather Bay group of friends is the best!

The narration made the book even better! Dan does a great job!

I can't wait for the next book in the series!!

Posh meets Shepard

One of the things I liked about this story was how ChArlie Novak described and introduced the two MCs. We understood the differences of their daily lives and where they where in their heads. I liked both Jamie and Will and how they came together. This has been my favorite in the series so far.
