I really needed this lively escapism. I didn't mind the simple plot, it obviously was not for that but just taking a trip back into a homey tavern that sells coffee!

This is one of the most cozy and character driven stories I’ve ever read. You will fall in love with everyone of the characters and hate everyone you’re supposed to. I cannot recommend this book enough, and when I say it deserves all of the praise it’s getting, I’m not exaggerating.

Travis is not only an absolutely fantastic narrator, but he crafts a novel better than almost any other author I’ve read. His performance here is made all the better knowing that when he says a line or a name, you know that pronunciation or intonation is exactly how it’s supposed to sound!

The story is amazing and while it ties everything up nicely, you are left wanting more! I cannot wait for the second book to come out!

The best narrator is also a really good writer!
The story is really good and flows really well. Just love it. Looking forward for other books from Travis.

The voice of stories writes what has been missing

Ever since Travis mentioned he was going to write his own book and by extension narrate it, it was one of the stories I was waiting to listen to the most. Knowing the emotion and feeling that he can put into the characters combined with a "High Fantasy and Low Stakes" story lead to a great fusion.

The story itself follows Viv a retired adventurer but we all know the main character is Thimble. The constant creations of baked sweet goods makes me sad my local bakery closed 5 hours ago and I can't pick up some.

Overall though, even for "low stakes" the story established enough feeling of suspense and on the edge feeling while having an excellent heart warming story.
