Nell Gallows is the sole survivor of an elite dark forces squad, Riøt, after a detrimental attack two years ago.

Only, she finds out too late that the dark and mysterious man she solely wanted as a fling is not only her new comrade but also the one she dreaded meeting most—her immediate superior and untouchable devil in the field. He's hell on earth—cruel and unforgiving, but most of all, he hates her, and he makes sure she knows it. And yet, she finds herself unwilling to leave his side when he's unable to get to the evac point when their mission goes awry.

She stays behind with the devil and the secrets he keeps. They only have one another to trust when no faith is left.

Not bad, dual audio

This audio wasn’t bad. I do wish it was duet but both narrators did very good.

What an absolute gem of a story!!

I loved all of the big plot twists and how much heart and heartache this book had.

Oh this book was exactly what I needed to get me out of my current little slump. I swallowed this book whole and loved every single second. The darker aspects, the romance that was brutally delicious 🤤 and the plot that just kept giving. This will forever be a darker romance rec I’ll dish out to anyone who will listen. Not to mention the audio is everything you want it to be 😍🤤

Good plot, sloppy ending

The story was great until the ending. It felt rushed and kind of like an afterthought.

The love of the main characters

I loved how this book kept you on your toes. Absolutely loved the enemy’s to lovers trope and the ending.
