Publisher's summary

Expanded and updated exclusively for graduates just entering the workforce, this extraordinary edition of Lean In includes a letter to graduates from Sheryl Sandberg and six additional chapters from experts offering advice on finding and getting the most out of a first job; résumé writing; best interviewing practices; negotiating your salary; listening to your inner voice; owning who you are; and leaning in for millennial men.

In 2013, Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In became a massive cultural phenomenon and its title became an instant catchphrase for empowering women. The book soared to the top of best seller lists both nationally and internationally, igniting global conversations about women and ambition. Sandberg packed theaters, dominated op-ed pages, appeared on every major television show and on the cover of Time magazine, and sparked ferocious debate about women and leadership. Now, this enhanced edition provides the entire text of the original book updated with more recent statistics and features a passionate letter from Sandberg encouraging graduates to find and commit to work they love. A combination of inspiration and practical advice, this new edition will speak directly to graduates and, like the original, will change lives.

More Women In Power!!!

What did you like best about this story?

Sheryl Sandberg tells her story and offers her opinions and advice in a way that makes you want to say "thank you" after every chapter. She uses simple language, clear examples to illustrate her point, and her message is dead on: we need more women in power. I didn't agree with everything that she said, but it would be creepy if I did. Great book, fantastic food for thought and conversation. I only wish it had been Ms. Sandberg who read the book.

I wish every woman could listen to this.

I recommend this to anyone interested in creating an equitable world. Also, for those who want to become free from societal limitations placed on women.

Inspiring must read for women

What did you like best about this story?

I like the idea of women should start putting up our hands in meetings, should start asking for raises when they think they are underpaid, should work with their partner to share the houseworks and family duties, etc.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favourite scene would be the ending part of the story when women from different organisations sharing how they lean in after reading the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

We CAN empower our own selves.

I hope men in power listen to this book

I am in the tech field and everything resonated for me. I consider myself to have a quite good understanding of issues that minorities face. the book added to my knowledge in terms of potential solutions but I think people who would benefit the most from this book are men in power who can help make a difference and be good allies

Inspiring

I learned a lot about my own perceptions of gender and started paying attention to others actions. I plan on rereading and taking notes to share in my groups.
