A Great Story of Betrayal.

This is a great WH book. Telling the tale of the betrayal on Calth It is like the assassination of Julius Caesar, 911 and Pearl Harbour rolled into one great betrayal that shatters the galaxy. I enjoyed the cinematic progression and present tense reading. Awesome book!

Fantastic writing, wonderful performance

I have loved the way Dan Abnett writes Warhammer since I started the Gaunt's Ghosts series. there's just a way he makes you care about even the smallest support character. This one is no exception! Not to mention Gareth's voice acting! the way he breathes life into the lines makes it a very enjoyable listening experience.

one of the best HH novels so far

I've grown critical and cynical to most audiobooks I listen to. I'm tired of DL getting a free pass because fanboys just max vote their fav scifi warhammah. bottom line up front, most of the books in this series are mediocre. They're good, but nothing special.

This one though is definitely a gem in the series. It's good and the way its presented is unique. It's definetly a 4/5.
