Lox has made friends and gotten a good start to his new life in WoM.
After spending some time hunting down the remnants of the pirate fleet, Lox is guided by Vannessa down to the Kingdom of Sails. There he gets swept up a quest that will shake this kingdom to its core.
Sailing his ship, the Audacious, Lox embraces a life of the high seas and explores this strange realm nestled in one of the most beautiful and enormous archipelagoes in any world.

I also really don't like the excuse they give why the main character can't make other people soul vampires they clearly outline the process in book 1 Yes they do say it's dangerous and can lead to death but for players that's practically not an issue... just try a couple times to succeed Heck I'm pretty sure this was the same case in Skyrim... The only conceivable reason why they haven't done it yet that I can think of is that the writer wants the main character to be special and that's it... I mean the guildmaster wanted to do it until he found out apparently about the downsides because the main character made it seem like this really difficult thing that he has to constantly fight even though that's not really the case... but the benefits absolutely outweigh the risk super strength super speed can turn etheric stun people suck the energy out of them hypnotize them and loads of other abilities that you can do it's just way too powerful and the only reason that nobody else has it yet is because the main character would not be special anymore....
I will say as well that this novel is not as good as the first this one has to deal with sailing on the open sea and pretty much the second half of the book entirely is clearing a dungeon City honestly it just takes away I think what made the first book so good also I don't like how the writer goes out of their way to make loxes magical engineering talent extremely dangerous I mean he blows himself up so much with it and it's extremely difficult to learn and the story goes out of its way to tell you that.... Even so much to the point where everyone else is like why would anyone want to do a class like that I can see why it's unpopular then they introduce fourth tier spells which are supposed to be extremely powerful but also extremely difficult to learn potentially learning them years after the fact and his friends harp on the fact that it's less powerful in the later levels why would anyone want to learn it.... but the story glasses over the fact that he's basically a master jack of all trades he can do anything and everything practically and has done so and he's been the linchpin in the story up until this point what makes him so powerful and special is his class... which it makes it seem like the characters just gloss over he literally completed a legendary quest because of his class alone which they say in the first book
I also really don't like how the MC personal bully who actually put him in this world shows up to basically terrorize him and he's pretty much the big bad of the story... doesn't make any sense You're never going to convince me that some guy decides to try to torture the person that he put in a game world enters that world to find him mind you The starting area is the size of Jupiter they specifically mention that in the first book..... And then somehow tracks him down... and doesn't know what he looks like or where he should be And apparently the whole line about The company watching out for stuff like this from the first book was a total lie.... because apparently the creator didn't see this coming from a mile away... And just so you people know he keeps showing up at the story because that's what the writer wants 😭 at least make it believable like he got a patron that can help track down lox but nope doesn't go into anything like that....
well I'm sure you've already heard the big one but the stats lol....
