Editorial Reviews

Voice actor Mark Henderson brings this charming pair of stories for young readers to life, hamming it up with a great selection of distinctive and expressive voices for the characters who inhabit Tarthang Tulku’s animal kingdom in "The Value of Friends" and "The Best of Friends": Jatakas Tales - Children’s Stories.

Musical accompaniment and an array of animal roars, squawks, and squeals contribute even greater depth to these tales of friendship and cooperation. In these fun stories, perfect for little listeners, Tulku emphasizes the joys of compassion, caring for others, and working together in order to overcome obstacles.

Publisher's Summary

The Best of Friends is tale about kindness. A woodpecker learns to give without the expectation of receiving. The Value of Friends is a story about cooperation.

Well presented kids story

I am sure this will capture the attention of kids with the great music and multiple character voices. Well performed. Good story line in each and helps kids understand the importance of friends
