Publisher's Summary

"I'm youth, I'm joy...I'm a little bird that has broken out of the egg." The story of the little boy who refused to grow up has captured the imagination of generations of children (and the adults they grew into) since its publication in 1904. Peter Pan flies in through the bedroom window one night and teaches Wendy, John, and Michael to fly. He lures them away from their home and parents and takes them away to endless adventures in the magical Neverland, where they meet the wicked Captain Hook and a host of other characters. Funny, charming, touching, and incisively observant as to the ways of children and adults, Peter Pan is an unforgettable story.

Pretty cool!

I love Peter Pan stories and my mom got this for me to listen to. It's pretty good but I like the books best.

Excellent

Samuel West is a beautiful narrator! I wish I could have him read me to sleep everynight. Although this is an abridged version, it is the best reading of Peter Pan I have heard. I love this book...

Fascinating and fresh after a century!

When I finally decided to "read" the original PETER PAN I confess that I selected the cheapest unabridged audio version I could find - good choice! As one of the Boomers whose first vision of Pan was Mary Martin (yes, I'm 50 and I still clap for Tink) I had no idea what to expect. Incredibly, this book is so timely and insightful that it could have been written yesterday. If you want something to read until the next Harry Potter arrives, read this! Barrie's plays may not have held their age but this book will never, never grow old.
