Publisher's summary

Four adventure stories: The Evans sisters have some exciting escapades. April and Matthew put together a treasure hunt for the family, one they will never forget. When Sharlene and Faith are asked to find the thieves who have stolen some paintings from a museum, everyone is surprised who is behind the theft. With that success, the twins accept the challenge to find a missing penguin, an assignment they had not expected. Who was behind the disappearance of the small animal? The adventures don’t end there. When Devollyn, their nemesis, asks for a favor, they are shocked at his request.

Adventures

The Adventures of John and Julia Evans is Book 5 in The Adventures of John and Julia Evans by Linda Weaver Clarke. One of the things that I liked most is this adventure collection involves the whole family. They adventures include treasure hunting, finding stolen paintings, a missing penguin, so much fun. I always enjoy the mysteries that Linda Weaver Clarke writes. The characters are believable and after several books, they feel like book friends. Carolyn Kashner is always gives an outstanding performance. I am sad to see this enjoyable series end.

Fun stories

A fun set of stories. Each story is wrapped up nicely on its own, but better when layered together so you get a better feel for the characters.

JUST PLAIN AWESOME!

Loved this! Linda Weaver Clarke always gives interesting, exciting and memorable stories and characters. Loved hearing all about the Evans' escapades! The narrator, Carolyn Kashner, did a great job and really made the story all the more loveable. I definitely think you'll enjoy this, I sure did. Really a wonderful escape from our crazy world these days (I like a lot of true crime/scary stories, so this is a great escape!), I highly suggest getting to know some of Linda's works, she's one of my favorites! :)

Fun read

Intriguing Escapades is a clean, fun read...well listen in this case. I enjoyed the continuing story of the Evans with their mysteries and exciting adventures. This could be a standalone, but highly recommend reading them in order. The performer made the listening experience very enjoyable.

Loved this book

Just finished Intriguing Escapades in the Audible version. Loved it and always enjoy a great Audible book to listen to while driving or working around the house. The narrator, Carolyn Cashner is a great addition to the Audible version. She is very easy to listen to and makes the listening very enjoyable.

Linda Weaver Clarke added this new book in her series "The Adventures of John and Julia Evans". It's book 5 and a great addition to the continuing family saga. It contains 4 short stories and if you have read or listened to the previous books, you will see familiar and new characters to bring interest and excitement to her stories. The stories are set in my fave places, Utah and a little in Texas. She brings them up to our current time, during the Pandemic. The stories are mysterious and interesting and you will surely enjoy the mystery and perhaps some romance to keep things very interesting!

These are clean and enjoyable stories and definitely entertaining!

I received an Audible copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own.

My review

This book contains 4 short stories of mystery advertisers the Evans' girls go on/solve.
What I liked about the second story was that it was a crime mystery with a bit of romance… I really like mysteries and I like romance! I also liked that the character Amelia Moore from an earlier series by Linda Weaver Clarke made a cameo [I want to say that the Amelia Moore detective series is REALLY good].
I liked the fourth story as it was the most action-packed of the four stories! I liked how Julia and her girls had to trick Devollyns' guys when they followed them to Devollyns' house.

These are my own opinions and thoughts. This book was given to me in exchange of a honest review.

4 adventures

Adventure, mystery, romance and family are interwoven in these four short stores. We get to catch up with previous characters and get to know a few new ones as well. Super sweet and clean and fun adventures to go on with the characters.
