Publisher's Summary

Begin your day in a state of calm contentment as you use your imagination to create a vividly detailed seashore at sunrise, where gentle breezes rustle the palms and full-body breaths center you.

Jackie Cantwell is the sound meditation practitioner of The Big Quiet, a mass meditation movement that gathers thousands of people for large-scale moments of quiet around the world (including for Oprah’s 2020 Vision Tour with WW). It was founded by Jesse Israel, whose own experience with debilitating panic attacks forced him to step back from a successful career as a music executive to seek help. When he came upon meditation, it inspired him to switch gears in a big way.

Guided by leading experts and personalities in wellness, morning meditations are brief listens focused specifically on helping you wake up in the right morning mindset. They don’t require any previous experience - they're easy to get into and designed to help you take a moment to check in with yourself each day.

This title is part of the Audible Sleep Collection, exclusive audio experiences created to help you fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up in the right morning mindset. New and free for members.

This needs to be re-recorded

For some reason, the background music and audio is unbelievably loud compared to the actual guided meditation. What's worse is that the backgrounds sounds are incredibly intrusive on the experience. At about 4-5 minutes in, there was an incredibly loud tone that I can only describe as feedback. It seems to be intentional, but it was incredibly stressful while making it impossible to focus.

Buzzing sound waaaay too loud

There’s something wrong with this title. At 3:12 a buzzing sound comes on and almost drowns out the narrator. Pity as the script is lovely. Could not stand it and stopped listening.

sounds

I personally don't care for the sounds. Maybe binaural beat? Unable to complete listening to this.

Chimes are nice but not the silences or tones

It starts with three little dings like a chime. Then the breathing begins. (It's always the breathing. Breathing is automatic but these meditation audios focus on it to the point I'm super aware of this autonomic function....) The voice guides you through the breathing. The voice is OK, but then there is a silence in the middle of the audio that made me sit up, thinking the program was over, but then, after the silence, it continued.
Further on there is an ANNOYING tone, like a tuning fork. Finally the audio ends with the three little dings.
Better at beginning and end than rest.

Background soundtrack distracting

The background noise on the morning meditation was annoying. It distracted from the calm of the meditation and visualization.

Not thrilled with background noise

Good clear voice from the reader, not whispery. Metal bowl noise sounded like bad feedback, not ocean waves. If the meditation is "inner shores" with palm trees and waves, I don't want metallic waves which at times clashed frequency with the voice, and almost overpowered it.
