Amber & Kerwin

When I started this book, I didn't know what to expect. I like going in cold and seeing what a story brings. Well, it brought me Kerwin, the boss who was not a nice guy. Amber is trying to get herself promoted, and working tirelessly at the side of Kerwin is not only making her love him, but is holding her back. Until her life changes. All of a sudden, she is promoted above him, and now her reports to her. And talk about a change! Can she trust him? Does he just want to get on her good side? How will she handle her new role? I loved this role reversal for a couple of reasons, but I won't bore you with that! I will say loved the way Amber jumped in to help Ed, not realizing how it would effect her. I loved the interesting characters, It was easy to invest my heart in Amber and Kerwin and I love the the outcome. And I felt happy. When a story can do that for you, you know it's a good listen.

Addison Barnes is amazing, and I loved her performance. She always brings out the best voices and finds the qualities in each portrayal of the characters. She has a soothing tone and it's a comfortable listen. The best kind!

Good

I normally don't like female narrators but I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was written well. I like the back story between the characters, the author did a great job with this book.

Great Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt!

thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. McKenna James is a gifted author she creates stories with layers and depth. This office romance is not an ordinary one, it is so much more. The characters are complex and nicely developed, they are realistic and easy to relate to. Amber came to New York to work for an ad agency, she got her foot in the door starting as an intern, she wanted to continue to work there so she took a job as personal assistant to Kerwin. She was with the company for two years and felt she was wasting her talent as a PA but every time she tried to speak up to give her idea Kerwin ignored or sidetracked her. She found a friend in Ed, an older gentleman she saw around work, she spent some of her lunch breaks with him in the park just chatting. I loved how everything plays out in this book, how Kerwin first comes off as an arrogant jerk and once we get to see his true colors he was so much more and Amber how she starts off timid and shy and then starts to grow into her own as she gained confidence. There is never a dull moment in this book, it is greatly plotted with plenty of drama, some angst, twists and turns that puts a wonderful spin on things. Mckenna James, thank you for this great book.

Addison Barnes She does a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work, she captures the character’s emotions and projects it into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧

Office Politics

I most enjoyed this novel. It is fun to embark on a journey where things are not quite as they seem. The concept of whose the boss now plays well in this novel. I am feeling like saying much would create a spoiler so I am going to stop here. Worth the kudos Addison Barnes does a wonderful job with the narration of this fun novel.

for honest review Amber Allen works at Whitten media corporations for kerwin baker department but when the older man she always sits with in the park end up somehow hurt she saved him too have him passed away. she find that he was owner of the company and she get several of her wishes . Beautiful story

i enjoy this book

Amber has had a crush on the boss for the last two years. She isn't getting a were with her job or her boss. He doesn't notice hee except for work things. Then the roles get reversed and now she is his boss and is rich. You must read it the story to found out what happens.
