Publisher's Summary

Three teens who have attempted suicide meet in a psychiatric hospital, battle their demons, and begin to heal.

The handsome son of wealthy parents, Connor has everything anyone could want...except his family's love and affection. Jailed for years after killing his mother's child-molesting boyfriend, Tony is confused about his sexuality. Manic-depressive Vanessa cuts herself. All three stories intertwine in a brutally honest story about pain and resilience.

Everything to want in a book❤️

I loved every second of this book. I finished in three days, I couldn't let it go I had to find out what happened in the end. The end was sad, and it made me cry. You'll love this book!

one of my favorites

this book was the first Ellen Hopkins I ever read. and I read it when I was going through a really rough time in my life. after the first chapter by Vanessa I was hooked. I read it faster than any other book, couldn't put it down. now listening to it, its a whole new wave of aw. the characters come to life in this recording. you will feel as the feel. relate it ways you may never share to others. listen to it. you won't be sorry. and if you like this one listen to identical next.

Worth every re-read.

I own the physical copy of this book and had to give the audiobook a go as well as it has been my favorite book for years. yes. My ultimate favorite. it's worth revisiting every couple years and each time it becomes more personal, more touching. Beautiful.

Amazing

I loved it. The story is amazing. The only complaint I can even think of is I don't really like how the characters 'mimic' other people in the story. They do it in a way that sounds like they're making fun of them buy putting on a voice. When they aren't. Nott a big deal though, I still loved it.

Conner’s story was the only interesting part

I found Conner’s story much more appealing than Tony’s or Vanessa’s. I wouldn’t have minded if we got to experience more of Conner’s home life and upbringing. Both Tony and Vanessa are compelling characters in their own ways but the story seems to kind of derail and focuses on their relationship that kind of just came out of nowhere. Throughout the book they just don’t seem to share much chemistry.

Grabs your attention from the first page!

As usual, Ellen Hopkins brings us a psychological thriller that draws you in and makes you never want to put it down (or turn off). The characters are so unique and I love how this book allows you into each of their minds. The narrators did a good job portraying each character as well. Definitely worth the read.
