This book had me hooked from the vet beginning. Even as a young teen I was a fan of Ellen Hopkins, her writing style and her story lines were amazing then and they still are today! I've read almost all, of not All of her books and this one was a fave.

BEAUTIFUL

I loved the multiple characters, voices are amazing. Wasn't hard to finish, it all connected the different stories, with an amazing truth at the end

Great but...

Ellen Hopkins is a fantastic story teller and really connects you to the characters in her books. This is a great addition Impulse as it shows insight into the family dynamics with Conner and a lot of different type of social pressures for teens. the caveat being, if you are triggered by domestic/sexual violence. DO NOT read/listen to this book. There are multiple stories entangled in these themes in here. Other than that, almost poetic. loved it.

Another compelling story that is narrated perfectly 🖤 spending all my credits reading all the Hopkins books! Lol
