Interesting Story.

Lee Ann returns home to the ranch she grew upon only to find out her father, the ranch foreman, is dying. She is also running from her previous employer - a sadistic jerk. Gunther who owns the ranch lets her stay to help her get her life back in order. Ms. Ball is a genius in getting one engaged immediately in the story. I had to get the tissue box while I listened. As Lee Ann and Gunther get together and realize they have feelings for each other, outside forces are doing everything to tear them apart. By the way, Lee Ann was more forgiving than I could be. Thank goodness or we wouldn't had a happy ending.

Lee Ann and Gunter grow up together on the ranch, were best friends,
and young love between them that neither knew the others feelings. She leaves for the big city with her innocence and trust to become a writer for a popular magazine. Her boss causes her lots of trouble and Lee Ann is soon over her head with problems. She returns to the ranch and learns of her fathers felling health.

The trouble from the city follows her home in many ways, and she has her ups and downs, disappointments. Can Gunter help it in time or will her troubles bring the chance of happiness to an end,
