Ilias and Andrea

Ilias, the youngest dragon, continues to get sicker each day. He crosses paths with his mate, Andrea. Unfortunately, she is kidnapped. Connor Brown did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great INCLUSIVE paranormal adventure & romance

Excellent story in a great series of mixed breed species being hunted by snobby full bloods.. I appreciate that the females mate seemed to have flaws/scars or trauma of some type.. No one is perfect BUT, the story is exciting and worth the credit/money..It is so awesome to read/listen to a well written story that DOESN'T have some young anglo female being seduced or saved by a older male.. All the characters seem(around same age) and seem to have "problems " & issues...Thank you author for this expression of your imagination that allows the buyer/reader/listener to escape and feel INCLUDED. Narration by voice actor was good.. Definite BUY!!!

Enjoyable

Ilias follows on from the first book, these should probably be read in order, there are major spoilers for book one and I think you need to have read book one for this book to make sense.

I wasn't really sure about this series after book one, i was hoping that it would develop more in the second book but that didn't happen for me. It was enjoyable but it wasn't gripping.

The main relationship between Ilias and Andrea is a bit dysfunctional, they're both trying to protect themselves and test the other person and they just never seemed to mesh for me, it left me thinking that they aren't suited. They seemed to go from "I'm not sure about you even though we are 'fated'" to "OMG I love you" in the space of a chapter.

I like the concept, I'm just not sold on the execution.

The narrator did a good job, i liked the character voices and the overall delivery was good.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Still needs work

Like the first book, this one has a weak female who just goes with the flow of all that is put before her. I feel the sex scenes are included to remind the reader it is not a young adult book. Narration sounded a little faster on this one and I was almost tempted to slow the speed down. Other than that, it was a decent effort. These first two books have vaguely reminded me of a vampire series but without all the depth that a longer book has the chance to enjoy. I'm not giving up yet but do hope Sarah comes into her own soon.

Another great dragon story

This is another great addition to the series of dragon shifters. This time, it’s about Aris’ younger brother who hates being treated like a kid. He needs a mate and a cure, too. So, Ilias goes away and gets hit by a car of the woman he’d never thought he’d fallen in love with.

Engaging Story

This is an engaging story about a dragon shifter and a human. Both of them are struggling with their own lives but Ilias, the dragon shifter, needs a cure to stay alive and reach his maturity. Is Andrea the one Ilias is looking for?

Paranormal romance with some substance

Sarah J Stone has an interesting style. This is the shorter book but she somehow manages to touch on serious topics, in this case drug addiction and abuse, without compromising the romantic and sexy aspects of the story. She manages to write paranormal romances with substance. That said, the two protagonists are young and that is evident in their interaction and the choices they make. To be honest they are a little younger than I normally enjoy reading but I still liked the story and look forward to the remainder of the series. In the larger picture of the series, the dragons are shifting from being a group of directionless, damanged bachelors to becoming a family and clan. I am sure as they become more cohesive, there will be more opportunities to address their personal issues and their enemies. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
