Werewolves, facing the threat of extinction, desperately seek their mates to bear young. Aurora, a human far removed from the supernatural world, is nearing her own end after being fatally injured in a car accident. Kai, an alpha werewolf, lurks in the nearby trees watching her bleed out. He chooses to save her the only way he knows how, by changing her. Aurora struggles with her past as a domestic abuse survivor and the new dominating and violent lifestyle of a werewolf. No one is prepared for what happens next. The tides turn in favor of the werewolves. The Matefinder has been found, and she is more powerful than anybody ever imagined. But is she prepared to be the most hunted werewolf in history?

The character development was rushed and it didn't feel amazing. it started out ok and had interesting moments, but I rate it as average.

Had promise and interesting moments, but to rushed

I was a little worried at first because it seemed like instalove, which I hate, and I almost stopped reading but I am so glad that I didn't. The instalove makes sense and, believe me, they still have issues to work out so it's not 100% perfect lovey dovey all the time.

Very good

This book had a lot of potential but the result was really disappointing. The main issue for me was the lack of character development. When it comes to the personality of the characters, the author did a lot of telling rather than showing. So I found myself struggling to care about or sympathize with the main character's reactions to all the things that happen to her. For the same reason, I had a hard time feeling invested in her developing romance with the alpha, Kai.

Good premise, stilted execution

A good story, Werewolves, Vampires, white Witches, Black Witches, oh yes and a secret governmental agency.
Yep this one sucks you in.
Let's not forget the very good narration that ties this tale together. Thank you Dara Rosenberg.

This is just one of those so-so books. The story line is average. There are some minor inconsistencies that were annoying and the ending was abrupt.

The reader was mildly annoying. I found her voice shrill at times and phrasing very staccato. Her reading made me feel that the book is geared more toward teens.

I will probably listen to the other titles but only because I go through so many urban fantasy titles that I have limited choices. They are definitely at the bottom of my list.
