Very Well Explained

Any additional comments?

This is well written and will teach the listeners a lot! A little too elementary for most adults but many probably don't know the subject matter. So all will learn from this book.

Absolutely Amazing

Any additional comments?

This book is absolutely amazing. The story within the story adds texture and makes the story that much more interesting. Then to enhance the story by introducing black inventors who are scientist and engineers to life adds additional depth. Thanks to the authors for bringing this book to life. A job well done.

An amazing audio book

Any additional comments?

This is an amazing audio book introduction into "black" history in America from the beginning to now. There are, of course, some minor disputes that some historians can responsibly make, but it's a fantastic book overall.

very good

Any additional comments?

One of the best historians I've read in a while. He tells the story of the African American in America better than anyone I've read so far. The author’s research is top notch. I recommend this book to anyone interested in America as we know it today.

I believe this is one of the best

Any additional comments?

I believe this is one of the best single volume surveys of Black History in America. This author is a sharp chronicler and writes in a tone that is scientific enough, but also with some passion and the patience of a true historian.

Absolutely Amazing

Any additional comments?

Even with all the attendant publicity of how transforming an experience it was for our president to achieve his office, this famed account is remarkable. Daunting in its range certainly, yet the readable way in which so many stories of heroism and horror, inspiration and contribution are told makes it so worth the experience.
