good story

the narration was lacking, the voices not quite right, the accent at times quite good, other times seeming forced

Sweet HEA Story- Enjoyable Characters

Sweet happily ever after story. I very much enjoyed the main storyline of overcoming adversity when life throws you a curve. And a story with a strong but not overbearing, spitfire without being annoying and intelligent heroine (or Lady Hero in my mind). And a strong of heart, mind, will and body Male Hero that knows when to take up for his wife and when to let his wife take up for herself.
There were just a few storyline angles that didn't have enough "teeth" for me as a Highlander themed romance and a few areas that didn't have enough depth to it such as the build up to the enemy clan (really only one person in clan) so only 4.0 stars but I still enjoyed and will read this again!

The story was good, but the historical speech got to be too much. it seemed clumsy at times

A love story about love

It was refreshing to have a love story. where the characters never turned away from each other in the face of everything , and that they just stick together, even if it was just in their thoughts until they got through it all. Just a refreshing story. I enjoyed it a lot.

Good overall

I enjoyed this story. It was heartwarming and easy to skip over the more steamy parts without really missing anything. There was no twisting plot line, what you expect is what you get with this one. I did not like the scene where they put a turnip on someone's head as a target. I thought that part was just asked absolutely asinine. Like for the entire book the two main characters have been compassionate and insightful and emotionally intelligent just to end the book with something so stupid, especially when the woman's husband was clearly distressed. I didn't find it complementary to the overall storyline. Other than that, it was a good listen.

Never give up on love or yourself

I loved this book! I will listen to more by the author! It is touching along with making me laugh. I listened to it as much as I could , I did not want it to end. You will fall in love with the characters!

Enjoyable snd Satisfying

I lost my heart to the narrator. Polished, professional and so easy on the ears. He really takes his job of storyteller seriously. He puts his all into his performance. I also love the heroine. She is impossible perfection. The love story is sweet. Very entertaining.
