ABSOLUTE PERFECTION

I cannot even begin to describe how this book consumed me. It is dark, gritty and raw but the writing is nothing short of a work of art. AND on top of all of that, the narration was FLAWLESS. To say that it was worth a credit is an understatement.

Shane East is Perfection!!!

Story was very angsty, so many emotions. Trigger warnings aplenty. I don’t think I would have enjoyed the story nearly as much without Shane East narrating. He just does such an excellent job with the full human range of emotions; he is absolutely captivating. Sofia Lette did a great job as well, particularly during the more emotional parts of the story. She really cut my guts out during a few parts!! Eager to go back and listen to the beginning of the series.

It's not bad I guess

I has to stop listening and read the book myself. The voice for Clay sounds like it belongs to some mystical creature (like a warewolf) that has only one emotion and that's to be angry. Which made it really hard for me to feel the connection between Clay and Fawn.

Intense

The characters in this story were so complex and the development of the relationship between Clay and Fawn perfection. Love love loved it and so glad I came across a clip of this story on FB. I listed to part 1 and 2 in one weekend then when back to listen to it again.
The readers expressed the emotion in this story as if they were experiencing it. Very impressive

Amazing

I am obsessed with Nicci Harris and her books. This duet Narration was perfection and brought so many emotions to the story. They are phenomenal and this one is right up on top of the list. I was so excited when I saw it was coming out and was excited to see it was Clay's story. This book is filled with Secrets, Tragedy, possessiveness and finding love and comfort with another person. This is the kids of the district series and what a series it is an absolute must read and so phenomenally written. You meet Fawn who has had a life of struggle and misery. When she goes looking for her father to help her with a situation she ends up meeting Clay. These two have a chemistry that is crazy hot, and he feels so drawn to her and protect of her that he tries really hard to keep away but loses that battle. He is the one comfort in her life, and she is becoming his when he has never known what that feels like before. This story has everything and more you would look for in a wonderful mafia romance but wow what a cliff hanger didn't see that coming this book had so many unexpected situations it will keep you on your toes but will also not let you put his book down. What a exceptionally written story that will captivate you and pull you into the pages with it. Absolutely in love with these characters make sure to dive into this series you wont regret i
