This book is like a Power wash!
The reality of the presence of Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, really is the pinnacle of our existence…that includes the Church. The author, gracefully yet intently, does a beautiful job at power washing away all the other things we’ve made Christianity about. Not that the other stuff is bad, it’s just not the pinnacle.
Thank you for writing this, pastor! As a young church planter I am so inspired and challenged, but also feeling so equipped for the greatest task at hand: Hosting Jesus. THANK YOU!

A Must Read Narrative of Re-Centering The Church
Michael Miller's story with Upperroom Dallas is beautiful, and amazingly, it testifies to just one of the many places where the Holy Spirit is convicting His Church of straying from the their (our) primary purpose -ministry to the Lord. This book could well challenge some of your current perspectives on God's desires and purposes for the Church but my prayer is that God would give every reader the freedom to break out of familiar, cultural Christianity and come into alignment with this Biblically rooted vision for the Church. If you are wondering what's wrong with this book, there is one word misread. Everything else is glorious. I cannot recommend it enough!
