i liked the series, yes the voices in the book are a little high pitched but there playing into the story to get you to understand the character more , I really like this series

amazing story

The story was very easy to follow even with the back and forth between worlds and connecting past parts of the story. It sucks you in from the beginning. The voice acting wasn't bad but it needed better editing. there were too many times that lines were repeated out it felt like some words were skipped.

Hidden World Academy Series (Books 1–3) ~~ Magic Swap, Magic Chase & Magic Gambit. ~~ This series pulled me in fast and never let go. From the very first book, Magic Swap, Sadie Moss drops you straight into the Hidden World Academy — and it’s not the warm, comforting kind of magical school. This place is sharp-edged, dangerous, and unpredictable, and I loved that. Magic here isn’t just something you learn — it’s something that can completely unravel who you are. The main character is thrown into a situation she never asked for, forced to survive an academy where trust is fragile and nothing feels safe. There’s a constant sense that something bigger and darker is lurking beneath the surface, and the tension never lets up.

By the time I reached Magic Chase, the intensity ramps up even more. The stakes are higher, the danger is more real, and the secrets start spilling out whether anyone is ready for them or not. What I loved most about this book is that there’s no downtime ~ just when you think the characters might catch their breath, another twist hits. The main character grows fast here, moving from confusion to determination, but that growth comes at a cost. Trust is tested, alliances feel shaky, and the academy itself becomes even more dangerous. You really start to see how layered this world is and how deep the manipulation and power struggles go.

Then comes Magic Gambit, and wow ~ this book lives up to its name. Every choice feels risky, every move has consequences, and no one is playing fair anymore. This installment is darker, smarter, and emotionally heavier than the first two, and that’s exactly why it works so well. The character growth truly shines here. The main character is no longer just reacting ~ she’s making calculated decisions, even when they could cost her everything. Betrayals hit harder, loyalties blur, and the academy feels more like a battleground than a school. You can feel how close everything is to falling apart.

I read most of this series on Kindle, but when I wasn’t reading, I switched over to Audible — which I do often because reading and listening helps keep my head sane when I’m not teaching. The narration was fantastic and really elevated the experience, especially during the chase scenes and emotional confrontations. There were more than a few “just one more chapter” moments that turned into staying up way too late.

By the end of Book 3, I was emotionally invested, slightly stressed, and completely hooked. This series keeps getting better with each book, and Sadie Moss does an excellent job of raising the stakes without losing the heart of the story.

I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

Description is misleading

Narration: SP does a good job.

Story: I cannot STAND simpering female leads and that is exactly what this female lead is. I’m 3 hours into the boxed set and I’m super disappointed. The description says ‘kickass woman’ but I have yet to see her. Perhaps she grows into a kickass chick but the first three hours have me palming my face over this 21year old that acts like a 16 year old teen. It’s obnoxious.

Definitely worth the read

Great story- slow at times but picks right up. Love all the characters and the plot.
