Publisher's summary

Hell is spilling out into their world…and only a few heroes are there to stop it.

Sha’oul, Lord of the Arisen, marches on to overthrow Rochata-Ung with only a ragtag band of heroes in his way. The flagging resistance band of champions can’t help but wonder, will they be enough to stop the demonic warlord from opening the portals of hell in the Southern Sands region?

With the devil Telenth guiding Sha’oul’s hand, helping to summon demons from one of the planes of hell, the situation is looking dire for Reza and her friends, resulting in a war that could not only cost them their lives, but the very fate of the kingdom.

The final hour hastens near. Mortals beware and prepare this day, for the judgment of the gods is nigh upon us all.

Exciting listen!

This epic fantasy tale comes to an end with this book. (or does it?) I really hope the author continues this “world” in another series, I was sad for it to end. Though, the ending was quick and I was happy with how it concluded. Through this entire journey, I did become attached to all of the characters and what they were experiencing. The author does a good job making you “care” about them and get to know each character’s individual personalities and quirks. Worth a listen/read! Don’t pass this one up.

The end to an epic fantasy series!

Paul Yoders brings this epic high fantasy trilogy to a close in a stunning way. The characters are a true joy to experience no matter the peril, the world gets deeper and deeper, and the story comes to a satisfying end. I look forward to Paul's next series! Audio Version: Jak McDonough continues to do an excellent job with the individual characters and overall narration.

Tearing down murderous darkness

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this an honest review. Narrated passionately by Jack McDonough, comes the third book in this epic series built strongly by its well developed characters. The ragtag band of warriors that have been a thorn to Sha’oul and the undead army of Arisen; thrown into the harsh world of sand and death and drawn out battles face the group at every turn. Especially for Nomad, as his fate is all but decided as the darkness that has polluted him has pretty much claimed him. But even at the height of all that this band has endured, the profound bonds of friendship give Nomad a second chance to choose his own fate. Great wicked battles drive hard against the Arisen to finally claim a grand victory to his darkness; and yet there many be more adventure to come for those warriors. Three books in and still the author Paul Yoder keeps you coming back to travel further along and deeper into this amazing world. Highly recommended.

Exciting Dark Fantasy

I enjoyed book 3 as much as the first two books in the series. I was so absorbed by the continuous action and fight scenes that I had to listen to the whole audiobook in one sitting. I liked the characters. I appreciated that the author sent the companions on their own journeys to help in the war. Although this book seemed to be an ending, the author wrote a little addendum which opened up the possibility of more about these characters in the future, which piqued my interest. Jak McDonough's narration was good as his voice was pleasant. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
