When a fellow teacher turns up dead and Cassie receives a cryptic letter from her a few days later, it’s clear to Cassie that something strange is going on at Falcon Ridge Academy. Everyone seems to be writing the death off as a tragic accident, but she’s not so sure.

Cassie has secrets of her own, though, so she’s initially reluctant to get involved. Torn between the urge to protect herself and the desire to investigate further, she decides on the latter.

And the consequences could be deadly.

Couldn’t finish it

I’m not really sure if it was the story or the narration that just didn’t work for me. I gave up in chapter 3, and moved onto another book.

Interesting read

Realistic characters with good suspense and humor woven throughout the story. A few good twists a little predictable at times but enough suspense to keep pages turning. Overall good story. Not sure if this is a series this was the first book I’ve read from this author but I’d definitely read more if it’s a series.

Not suspenseful, nor a thriller

Slow, the narrator had the same voice for nearly every one, you did not know who was talking half the time. Boring, could not wait for it to end. Cannot recommend.

Not bad, but not great, either.

I wouldn't at all classify this as a psychological thriller. It was more of a murder mystery. The book was good, overall, but I was able to pretty much figure out who was behind everything very early on.

VERY GOOD!

I enjoyed this book based on the story’s characters & performances. I enjoyed the school environment it is based on. The high competitiveness of that world is real. The intrigue, the strong main female character is empowering. A little romance interest was nice also in this suspenseful murder mystery. Narration was good, missed a stronger male voice for the male characters.
