Excellent thriller! Great narration!
I made a recent business trip to New York and got this to listen to; I like to get books about the places I visit (or used to visit a lot more before the pandemic.) The book was a great listen and a fun thriller. I loved Kathleen being an ex-madam and her having a secret past; and also the intrigue with her daughter. I felt it was contemporary and very realistic. Some of the action scenes, like the opening, and a hair-raising fire scene were really well crafted. The narrator did a great job with the accents and helping keep a few of the sometimes convoluted plot points straight. Very believable and exciting. They all seemed like real people; no stretches. Well done al around! I hope to hear more from this author.

Thrilling and fast-paced!
Sharply written and totally engaging. Miller’s deft and accurate descriptions of New York City life make reading this crime novel a great pleasure that you don’t want to end.
