The musicians who contributed to this piece have all lent their musical talents to The Big Quiet events over the years and are long-time friends and collaborators. This piece was devised live, and each musician played a hand in the composition.

The Big Quiet is a mass meditation movement that gathers thousands of people for large-scale moments of quiet around the world (including for Oprah’s 2020 Vision Tour with WW). It was founded by Jesse Israel, whose own experience with debilitating panic attacks forced him to step back from a successful career as a music executive to seek help. When he came upon meditation, it inspired him to switch gears in a big way.

The best sleepy time music

I'm a day sleeper, so it's important for me to find the right sounds for me. It's called "golden horses " which allows for my mind to create images of beautiful horses frolicking in the night...off to sleep I go.

Calms my Autistic Toddler Down

My nonverbal 2 year old is obsessed with it. We’ve been playing it back to back for hours. Whatever works for THOSE times of day.

Gently woke me up...

and made me feel I can accomplish great things with my day. All instrumental, no words. The music caused me to self reflect and made me feel happy. I will listen to this again other mornings.
